an unexpected treat

Lovely chocolate shop, that should definitely be on the list if you're visiting Sante Fe. We had never had Mexican sipping chocolates (or Drinking Elixirs as they have them displayed), and they were an unexpected treat. We were able to taste several of them so we could more easily decide on which... read more

This place is a MUST if you are a chocolate lover! A bit pricey, but oh, so worth it. You may try a small sample of the various liquid chocolates before ordering a demi-tasse of your favorite. They even have dry-packed versions of the flavors to take home. YUM!!! Try the chocolate caramel brownie for a real treat.

Wonder why this is rated #1 restaurant on trip advisor in Santa Fe? It is not really a restaurant, it serves chocolate and chocolate elixirs. I only tried the chocolate, which is good, but not extra special. It's OK

It's not common here in the States for a chocolate shop to offer hot chocolate drinks. The drinks here are well constructed: from the use of almond milk, the chocolate varieties, and the spice flavorings. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and welcoming. The ice creams are fantastic, especially the coffee ice cream and the citrus pistachio ice cream. A real... More

I live in Albuquerque and try to swing by the Kakawa Chocolate house when I am in Santa Fe in the Fall and Winter. Their hot chocolate options are wonderful!

We felt very welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. It's located across the street from Nedra Matteucci Galleries. Offers a range of coffees and chocolates including chocolate chip wafers (Cookies). Reasonably priced. Free coffee samples.

A little off the main drag, but well worth the 5 minute jaunt from downtown. Each piece of chocolate was melt in your mouth delious with bursts of flavor! The salted caramels will be ordered frequently via mail. Make sure to try the chocolate drinks and take advantage of the samples.
