The chocolate drinks were amazing- lots of choices, and the people were friendly and helpful. They let us try samples, and made good recommendations.

If you are going to eat chocolate, choose wisely. At Kakawa they offer -- among other selections -- truffles of 100% dark cacao with pomegranate. This is beyond "healthy." And a wonderful way to "taste or habit re-condition." The best. The menu is limited -- expect chocolate/cacao in a cup in various forms and in edible forms -- squares and... More

Santa Fe is blessed with a lot of creativity and Kakawa is another fine example of creative culinary entrepreneurship. Since chocolate was discovered in the New World and Santa Fe is one of the very first cities in the New World, the owners of Kakawa traced the origin of chocolate back to its Pre-Columbian, Mesoamerican roots and offers a variety... This place is any chocolate lover's dream come true. I don't even like chocolate that much and it ended up being delicious anyway. High quality drinking chocolate (from milk chocolate to very dark), truffles, and other chocolate treats. Don't miss this!

Didn't expect to find a neat Chocolate shop in the Santa Fe environs, but here it is. Has a great reputation, and friends told us about it. Conveniently located. Adobe architecture facade. You'll like it...

We had hot chocolate drinks that were over the top. I can't remember what we ordered, but you can sample a taste before you order the cup of deliciousness. Also brought home a box of chocolates that we are trying to eat slowly and not just stuff the whole box in our faces at once…..

Cute, easy to miss if you're not looking for it on Paseo de Peralta. The elixer is delicious. Buy some chocolate to go.

Treat yourself to a half hour at this chocolate house while in Sante Fe. We sampled several sipping chocolates before purchasing several for immediate consumption as well as the powder to bring home. The chocolate ice cream is the most intense fudge like confection. Dark dense and frozen. A must go.

Stopped by on our way out of town and wished we had stopped earlier so we could've tried more things! They will give you a sample of the drinking chocolate if you tell them you've never been in. It is VERY rich, like someone said it's like drinking a liquid brownie, but very good. We got a salted caramel, red... More

You get to sample various hot chocolates from around the world. Finally you buy a small cup of your favorite and it packs a powerful punch. Tiny converted house - we sat outside and soaked up the Santa Fe ambiance. Cool experience - will return.
