Great little breakfast place

Was here today for breakfast. The owner was so sweet, offered to get us coffee while we were waiting for a table. The food is very good. Had the carne adovado plate. A little salty for me, but very good. It's a comfortable locals type place. Will definitely return.

I had heard alot about this place froma friend who knows the owner. I went and tried the breakfast and was pretty disappointed with the food, for being a local restaurant.

Nestled among decidedly very un-restaurant-like surroundings, Chris' Cafe is a surprise waiting to greet you. With just a few tables and a 1-page menu, this place concentrates on what is important - the food. Delicious, fresh ingredients and safe meats are all well-represented in the various breakfast and lunch dishes on offer. We can heartily recommend the vegetarian omelet [ask... More

Like others have said, Tiny and unimpressive with fine food, strong coffee and the most friendly staff. I tried the protein heavy "Wayne's world" breakfast and everything was just how I like it.

We decided to try this cafe after reading the reviews online. It was easy to find and convenient to our hotel. It is not very big so all the tables were full and there was only one waitress but she was very accommodating and took care of us quickly. The breakfast menu had plenty of choices and the food is... Chris' Café is in a small strip mall on Cerrillos Road, hidden behind a bunch of rental trucks (that's your landmark). It is small, maybe 10 tables, and plain décor, clean, and they serve very good quality Mexican and American food, breakfast and lunch only. We met Chris originally when he was working as a manager at the Tecolate Café.... More

We are from a city that only serves crap like ihop, dennys, or whataburger for breakfast. Chris' Cafe was amazing from the food to the service, and their potatoes are out of this world! It would be a waste of your time and money to go anywhere else for breakfast while in Santa Fe.

Tasty New Mexican food served in a pleasant, friendly atmosphere. It's nice that visitors to Santa Fe staying on Cerrillos Road have an option for local recipes and excellent red and green chile. Five stars all the way - and quite a bargain, too.

Based on fellow Trip Advisors, I was looking forward to breakfast. And, when that didn't work out what is the next logical thing- go for lunch. Great food, eating among the locals, and their attention to service was outstanding. I won't kid you this is not the place for a romantic meal but you will not be disappointed by the... More

Breakfast at Chris's Cafe was the perfect start to our anniversary celebration. The freanch toast was delicious and the perfect portion. I felt at home, welcome and so look forward to my next visit.
