Wonderful

Great service, even though a local high school was visiting learning the ways of the pastry chef. The pastry chef here is a 5 generation chef, and that's reflected in the product. The house coffee was flavorful and smooth, a really nice blend. The sweet (Easter) bread was awesome! Visit this... read more

I had heard from co-workers that this was such a great place, so we decided to try it for lunch today. Food was ok, but service was incredibly slow. There were empty tables when we arrived and we stood at the door more than 5 minutes even to be acknowledged. Finally we were seated and given menus, and waited another... More

After a bad lunch we decided to forgo dessert at the restaurant we ate lunch at. So we stopped here for coffee and dessert. Great Cappuccino and one of the best Chocolate Croissants ever. My roommate had the Almond Croissant and she agrees with me - best Croissant ever. The diners at the next table had sandwiches on fresh butter... More

Decided to try Swiss Bistro for lunch with a friend after seeing it had good reviews. I originally ordered the Chicken Curry sandwich and my friend ordered the Mediterranean sandwich. After a short time our waitress came back asking if we were on a time constraint and that it would be a while before the Chicken Curry was ready. She... More

I went there for the first time. I ordered the signature crepe, it supposed to have smoked ham in it. When it came out, they look like pale cut up pork. Then I asked the girl to ask the cook. And they said because they are out of ham so they put pork. What the hell !!!! Instead of telling... More

The food is OK, but the service is the worst. Not the fault of the waitstaff, I think, but the kitchen. If you want something other than a pastry from the case and a coffee, be prepared to wait... and wait, and then wait some more. This is consistently the case, even when the place is not busy, in fact,... More

We went there once or twice before and loved it, but honestly this time was a total let down... Fondue... cheese not melted enough, no taste, ... I make a better one at home when I buy the one from Trader Joe's!, this is sad!... For once that we go out during the week.... and for a way too high... More

I wanted a tasty and filling breakfast and that is what I found at the Swiss Bistro Bakery & Pastries. I stayed at the Hotel Santa Fe, and Swiss Bistro is just around the corner from hotel on Guadalupe. I ordered crepes with smoked salmon, capers, and cream cheese and coffee. The coffee is a little strong so fix up... More
