Something Special in the Donut World

If you are only looking for a cheap quick sugar/fat rush like you get from supermarket donuts or the various chains (like KK or DD) then you might not "get" these, but Whoos Donuts are something special. They are substantial, but not heavy or tough--just lots of tender flavor--very satisfying... read more

Probably! I would call myself a "donut snob" (I prefer the term "aficionado"), but I visited Whoos Donuts this morning and declared my unwavering admiration fot their chocolate-bacon- red chile- toffee donut to the gregarious young man representing behind the counter...it is the "second best" donut that has passed my lips (the "number one" still being the "crummy donut" at... I have heard good things about these donuts and wanted to check it out when I was in Santa Fe this weekend. I was walking through the Farmers Market (one of my favorite Santa Fe stops) and there they were - didn't even have to drive to the donut shop. I bought one of each flavor they had and I... More

As soon as they opened, Whoos became the donut house of choice. They make numerous types of unusual flavors, and (I believe) everything, including fillings, is made from scratch on the premises. Their donuts are served at the Farmers Market, which was where I first tried them. They also serve organic, locally-roasted coffee.

Loved it!!! Tried many of the unique flavors and was not disappointed. Will definitely come back. Good coffee, too.

I tried my very first Blue Corn Lavender Doughnut and all I can say as that it was wonderful tasting! I had to go back before I left and get another one! Where else can you say that you can get one of these! All things purple and good are always a good combination!

How could I resist an independent "made from scratch" donut place with an owl in the logo? Not me. I made a special trip and I don't regret it. I got two donuts(one was a Mexican Chocolate filled--the other was like a house donut (can't remember the name but it was yummy) to go and was wishing I had bought... More

The donuts are really good and unique. The coffee is average at best. Cool place with a helpful, friendly staff.

Always an adventure - different flavors every time and some things I would never even think of, but they sure are delicious. Whenever I've brought donuts for meetings, they make everyone very happy. Downside: could be habit-forming!!!

My current passion is to try donuts in all the places I visit...not all have donuts worthy of a review. Whoos, did tho!!. I had the blue corn raspberry chipotle donut. Dense, with great flavor with raspberry glaze that just took the edge off the chili. Delicious. They originally started as a chocolate shop, (its next door "The ChocolateSmith") and... More
