If you blink, you might miss it

We ended up here because one of the more popular Southwestern restaurants had a long wait and this was right around the corner from our hotel. Locally owned with great atmosphere and excellently prepared fresh food.

If you are going to be in Santa Fe during restaurant week, you must dine here. We got a sneak taste of what they will be serve and it was amazing. Make sure you save room for dessert and say hi to the donkey for me and my family.

Stopped here at the end of brunch service on a Sunday. Things were slowing down, but the food was very good. Blue corn cheese enchiladas. Also tried El Nido de Chimayo: poached eggs served with spinach, pintos, and chicos (smoked corn). Everything was delicious. The enchiladas were made with tortillas from Alicia's, and they were excellent. Our waiter was friendly... More

After arriving to town, my husband, dog and I had a great lunch on the patio. I struggled to wrap my mind around $12 guacamole, but all of the other prices seemed reasonable, especially because the food was very tasty and authentic. If anyone's seeking a lighter meal, I would recommend the spring salad with goat cheese and grapes. Mexican... More

We had lunch here next to a fireplace on a very cold day and the food was great. I recommend reservations if possible because there was a wait.

Authentic Mexican food. We had a large group and they accommodated us very well. The owner came by to chat. So glad we chose this restaurant!

#74? No way! This food paradise should be moved WAY UP in the listings. Tops on our list as well the Triple D pick list. The blue corn enchiladas Guy F. recommended were top notch, as well the goat cheese tamale and the traditional pork tamale, and everything in between. I adore tender handmade tamales and know how hard they... More

Friends in Ruidoso told us about Casa Chimayo. We had the pleasure of sitting in the small restaurant with the owners. They were delightful and asked us for feedback. The margaritas were really great. I had some blue corn enchiladas that were outstanding. I had enough for lunch the next day also. My husband had the Plato de Truchas which... More

It was Christmas night and we had just pulled into Santa Fe and quite hungry. We did not have reservations but Casa Chimayo found us a tiny table which was perfect. We saw that Diners, Drive-ins and Dives had featured the blue corn calabacita enchiladas and jumped at the chance to try something new. WOW! Excellent is too mild of... More
