I am not a fan nor expert in Mexican/New Mexican/TexMex food although I am based in the area so I have had my share. Having said that I love Mexican salsa especially Santa Fe salsa. This restaurant has been on my radar d/t it's proximity to the Hilton. Today I ventured to it. The atmosphere was... read more

We went to Casa Chimayo for dinner on July 15, 2015. It was a holiday weekend so we made reservations, but they weren't crowded at 6:30 so there was no need. However, by they time we left there was a line, so if you are going to eat between 7-9 I recommend a reservation. We had heard great things about... More

This family-run restaurant has it all - New Mexican ambiance, great food, superb service and very friendly staff. We were shocked there was hardly anyone there at the prime dinner hour. There is open patio seating (partially covered). The New Mexican food is excellent. Don't miss the guacamole with corn relish on the top, and the sangria was the best... More

I would prefer to give Casa Chimayo an excellent review, but unfortunately my husband and I did not actually get to try their food. We decided to forgo fast food on our five hour drive to Santa Fe, and after researching restaurants on Trip Advisor, decided to try Casa Chimayo. Their website said their hours were from 5-9pm. We walked... More

Our hotel was just around the corner from this restaurant and we walked past it every evening on the way to other venues. On our last night in Santa Fe, we took a look at the Trip Advisor reviews and decided to give it a try. As other reviewers have said, we wish we'd tried this earlier in our trip!... More

We came here our first night in town as it was recommended by our hotel. Food was authentic and not like Mexican in Georgia. There was a very nice outdoor patio and our waiter was very attentive. Not cheap but fun way to start our vacation.

Great food and atmosphere. The food has that homemade family recipe taste and it's delightful! I had the vegetarian combo including blue corn enchiladas tamale, rice and beans. Simply excellent.

I hadn't been to Chimayo in many years even though I usually am in Santa Fe once a year. The restaurant was crowded but the wait staff did not seem at all hassled. The food was as good as the first time I ever ate there. We shared a Nacho Grande appetizer and I wished I hadn't had to share... More

We were passing through Santa Fe and stopped to grab a bite to eat. No wait and food was amazing! Got the featured item on the menu with red and green.

Wonderful food in this quaint, family owned restaurant. The day we were there the owner walked around the room and personally spoke to every table. The blue corn enchiladas were excellent and so was the guacamole.
