Unexpectedly excellent

We stopped in because we were hungry, and it's the only place to eat on Museum Hill. It's a real restaurant, and we had one of the best meals of our vacation there. The guacamole and chips were amazing; the chips were really thick, so they didn't break. And it's a beautiful setting - you're up on... read more

I am a local and had high hopes for this cafe in such a pretty setting and next to great museums in Santa Fe. The food was fine but alas, the service was surprisingly slow and the food a bit pricey. What was really disturbing though, was the level of cleanliness. The restaurant itself has an odd odor - sour... More

Our visit to the Indian Cultural Museum was an informative experience. Our decision to have lunch at the Cafe was not a good one. Upon entering the restaurant, we were overwhelmed by the noise level. The acoustics were so bad that everyone had to speak in a loud voice to be heard. Our waiter's attitude bordered on rudeness. When we... More

I spent two days perusing two museums at this wonderful sight. Since there was a cafe, I decided to try it for lunch with some hesitation. I was not in the mood for cafeteria food. How wrong I was! I went back a second day and was waited on by a delightful waiter,Jason. Since it was St. Patrick's day I had... More

All we wanted was a soft drink. After waiting over 10 minutes outside, we were told to go inside to get a drink. We stood there for another 10 minutes while the staff walked by trying to avoid making eye contact with us. We tried to get someone's attention, but everyone pretended not to hear us. We finally left and... More

The room was very attractive, and the menu offered some really wonderful New Mexican cuisine (I had the chicken mole). A very nice wine list to boot, and the service was very good.

We stopped here a couple of times after visiting the nearby museums. We tried mushroom taquitos, chicken tacos, polenta with roasted vegetables, and coconut cream pie. All the dishes were very good. If you can, try to sit near the windows since the view is lovely. We visited on a Sunday, and it was also a fun place for people-watching.... More

Good food and good service. A great place to stop after speeding time in one of the museums. The view from the cafe, particularly on a warm afternoon, can't be beat!

Our second visit here, on a trip to visit the museums. Nice setting, pretty views. I had the lentil stew, which was good, while my wife had the duck flautas. These were a little different than most flautas we've had before. Instead of being wrapped in a tortilla, they were wrapped in a greasy flaky pastry, a variation which was... More

Convenient to the surrounding museums and very good food. Watch where you set because some of the tables have too much sun.
