Getting to Be My Go-To Cafe for Lunch

This was my second visit in the last three months and confirmed that the MHC is not just a handy museum cafe but a destination of its own. It was quite busy, but the service was still very good and the food really outstanding. Even on a hot day, dining outdoors in shade is very pleasant. Our... read more

We waited over 40 minutes for food to be served after we were seated and then by a sullen and unfriendly waiter. The food was just about adequate. We would not recommend.

Over the last 5 years or so, this venue has struggled with different operators, menus, hours, and subsidies. At last, they seem to have found the correct combination. We had lunch there on a whim while at Museum Hill and were delighted by food and service. So much so, that we returned a week later to check our perceptions. And... More

The Cafe' was quite busy, but not crowded. We were seated immediately, but it took the server a while to get to us. The garden salad and what was supposed to be "the world's best chicken soup" was bland and watery with overcooked vegetables and just a few small pieces of chicken. I had what was supposed to be excellent... More

Went for a birthday lunch and got some of the worst service ever. Had to approach 3 different waitstaff just to get water! Sat and watched 4 other tables who came after get severed first. Had enough and walked out. Won't be returning anytime soon. Can't rate the food as it never arrived.....

After reading the reviews about terrible service, I had second thoughts about eating here. But I went. My server was busy but attentive. I had lunch, arriving around 1:30. I ordered the special, but was told they had just sold the last one. SO I tried gazpacho and the shrimp salad. Both were very good - the shrimp and dressing... More

This is a wonderful place to have a divine lunch with a view. I had the Prix Fixe menu which was so good and I included the wine pairing. The service from waiter Jean Claude was excellent and attentive. This is a must!

Conveniently located adjacent to the main museum complexes. Easy access and parking. Food is always good & often is great. The place to eat when visiting the museums.

My husband and I went to see the RED exhibit at MoIFA and decided stop here afterward for dinner. The Museum Hill Café is offering what they describe as a “small plate” menu on select evenings. Had the best chips, salsa and guacamole appetizer I’ve had in Santa Fe. Chips were fresh and hot, and not salty or greasy. The... More

We visit Santa Fe often and have become members at the museum. We have eaten at the Cafe before and were looking forward to eating lunch there again today. I say looking forward to, since after we were seated, a waiter never came to our table, even though I notified the host who had seated us when we entered the... More
