Eat on Museum Hill

Conveniently located adjacent to the main museum complexes. Easy access and parking. Food is always good & often is great. The place to eat when visiting the museums.

This is a wonderful place to have a divine lunch with a view. I had the Prix Fixe menu which was so good and I included the wine pairing. The service from waiter Jean Claude was excellent and attentive. This is a must!

My husband and I went to see the RED exhibit at MoIFA and decided stop here afterward for dinner. The Museum Hill Café is offering what they describe as a “small plate” menu on select evenings. Had the best chips, salsa and guacamole appetizer I’ve had in Santa Fe. Chips were fresh and hot, and not salty or greasy. The... More

We visit Santa Fe often and have become members at the museum. We have eaten at the Cafe before and were looking forward to eating lunch there again today. I say looking forward to, since after we were seated, a waiter never came to our table, even though I notified the host who had seated us when we entered the... More

Restaurant looks nice inside and out. It is clean , great location in between the museums, with a great view. But..... I was not impressed with the food. We ordered a hamburger and was very poor quality, dry meat and burned. My husband just ate a bite and left it there. Just a few super thin french fries on the... More

Excellent location on museum hill with a great view. The food is also excellent. i can recommend the the Cafe Pollo Bowl and the nachos. My wife got a glass of zin that was a little off and the quickly opened a new bottle to fix the problem. They also brought a half glass of Cote de Rhone to compare.... More

My husband and I were incredibly disappointed by the Museum Hill Cafe's quality of service and overall ambience this past weekend during the International Folk Art Market. Considering that this Market has been operating for quite some time now, you would think that the Cafe would have their act together, especially since they have a captive audience during this weekend.... Delightful location between two wonderful museums, pretty much the only option there, decent food. But what subpar service - from unfriendly hosts to a distracted waitress. Just not the Santa Fe attitude we've come to enjoy. Really hope our visit was an off day but we can't recommend it.

The food is now delicious. The staff has excelled. This is a very good place for lunch, especially if you are visiting the museums. But we sometimes go even if we aren't going to one of the museums. It's that good.

It's unfortunate that I felt the need to write a review, but on my weekday lunchtime visit, the Museum Hill Cafe lacked all the charm of its surroundings (and yet it's your sole option for refreshment while visiting the museums). The staff--host, waitress, others--were universally disinterested in being pleasant. The menu, decor, and pricing were all fine, so I do... More
