We ate at the Burro Alley Cafe on April 9, 2014 and must say it was very good. They were not busy and so we were waited on promptly and courteously. The dishes we ordered were as the menu stated. We even bought some pastries from their bakery items and took back to our hotel and ate later that evening,... More

Stopped here before the Georgia O'Keefe museum opened. Very good, strong coffee, tasty brioche with delicious, fresh raspberry jam. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. The location is good and easy to find off the plaza. Would try again as they had a nice lunch menu.

Don't make this mistake. All qualifiers up front: we are SFe residents; we've been here once or twice before; the staff seemed overwhelmed and under-trained. We will NEVER waste our time or money here again. We were told we could sit wherever we wanted and were brought menus promptly. She brought my coffee, then asked if I wanted cream/milk. That... More

Ambitiously serving breakfast, lunch, AND dinner, this work-in-progress place is keeping its prices in line with comparable downtown restaurants but leaning toward French sauces and pastas. We had three very agreeable breakfasts -- a French-style fruit crepe, a Southwestern-style omelette, and an American-style ham and egg plate. The GREEN CHILE WAS SUPERB, as good as any in town, though not... More

This used to be one of my favorite little restaurants in Santa Fe -- the food was good and moderately priced, nice menu, great patio, and good service. Well, in the last 6 months something bad has happened to this place. First off, they expanded into the building next door, doubling the space. In the process, they "cleaned up" the... More

The food was nice but just unsure why the bakery portion was empty and so was the decor. Otherwise, service staff were great, food was nicely prepared and healthy.

Super understaffed and out of nearly everything on the menu. I felt bad for the employees who looked miserable trying their best to help customers. Only two people working, definitely a management issue. Would not recommend.

The Burro Alley Cafe was conveniently located to our hotel. Their pastries were excellent (bought some to take bake to the hotel) and had an enjoyable breakfast. We enjoyed it.

Happened upon this place when I came to the alley to take a picture with the burro statue in the alley right outside. It was cold so we popped in here to warm up. Looking over the selections, I settled on a croissant (I'm on a croissant quest to find the best one compared to the heavenly one I had... More

Like a previous reviewer, we went there prior to a Lensic performance. We knew about their understaffing, so we went early and ordered an appetizer (Calamari) and Spaghetti. The Calamari was flavorless but the spaghetti was good. By the time we finished, it was next to impossible to find the server to pay the bill. She was torn 10 ways... More
