Great local dive but I prefer Lotta Burger

I guess it's just my upbringing, but I liked Lotta Burger better. But a local friend invited me to lunch there and we had a good time. The food is good and the seating is a little nicer (on the parking lot end of the scale) than Lotta Burger. And the service was much better. Still, it doesn't have... read more

Burt's is the kind of place where everyday people get great food at reasonable prices. You can'g got wrong with Bert's specials that give you the biggest bang for your buck. I eat here every time I work in Santa Fe and it never disappoints me. The burgers are always made to order, the fries are crisp, and if I... More

We did take out as it is not really a place to sit and eat. The burgers were good.

Bert's Burger Bowl touts itself as the inventor of the green chili cheeseburger. While the truth behind this is definitely apocryphal, I couldn't resist visiting "the home" of what is essentially New Mexico's signature dish. Well, history has come and gone. It doesn't matter who invented the burger. I soon realized that even if this Bert person invented the burger... More

This place is the worst dive I've seen in a long time. AND - the food is horrible. Yuck.

A fast food style location that you would drive by if you weren't clued into the legend. The best green chile cheeseburger that I have had in New Mexico and I have been visiting for years. Plain old burger bun topped with the usual mustard, ketchup, fresh lettuce tomato and onion. The burger was expertly grilled then topped with an... More

I have only been once even though I live here. I don't know why this place gets the raves that some people give it because while it has good burgers, there are lots of other Santa Fe places that have better ones. The place is a dive (and not in the good sense of "dives" one loves). The prices are... More
