A Happy Place

It is hard not to like a place that is so happy. Drums can be heard when someone is celebrating. It is not fancy, and the food is better than average with ample helpings. Goat stew is one of their stand out dishes and I do like goat. There were six of us and everyone had something different... read more

Surprisingly there was a wait on a Wednesday, it was not long. I now understand why there was a wait. This place is a gem, I'm shocked it took me so long to try this place. I'd heard people say it was pricey, NOT the case at all. I found every bit of my mealtime to be worth it. I... More

I absolutely love Jambo Café. It is always busy with repeat customers which is an indication of how good it is. The food is well prepared with good ingredients, and is healthy. There are a number of vegetarian selections on the menu. I absolutely love the phyllo appetizer, filled with spinach, Moroccan olives, organic feta, roasted red peppers, chickpeas, and... More

Fabulous African and Caribbean food, a wait staff that must include the happiest people in the world, wonderful African-themed decor and art. The owner's a wonderful person. Oh! Are you having a BIRTHDAY? The owner (or someone on the staff) comes out beating a JEMBE drum, one of those huge wooden ones you can hear forever. Beats the staff singing... More

This is simply one of my all time favorites. My wife and I sat outside and enjoyed a wonderful breeze. Phyllo for appetizer, chicken curry and fried snapper were literally mouth watering. Mango cobbler with a touch of coconut was great and new and an instant classic. Put simply, one of the best restaurants in Santa fe.

We come here every year! I can't say enough good things. Great flavors, lots of variety. Tried the mango cobbler for the first time this visit. Really yummy!
