Four of us ate dinner here together and were delighted with the food, prices and service. We had made a reservation and were seated promptly. A server arrived immediately to tell us the specials and to determine if we wanted water. I noted that the restaurant and its outside patio were full. I ordered the hummus plate with Moroccan olives,... More

Coconut shrimp appetizer was raw in the middle and was sent back. They did cook it better a second time, but there was no apology or compensation. Service was slow, but we realize it was busy. Food tasted decent, all in all, but all of us had gastrointestinal issues afterwards including diarrhea, and nausea. Not sure we will go back.

We had read lot about it in tripadvisor before we had been there. Dinner option is excellent with so many choices including vegetatrian foods. Ambience is excellent and place gets crowded very fast so make sure to get there early.

I was in Santa Fe on a business trip and discovered Jambo Cafe. I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw it was in a strip mall - and my GPS wasn't even sure where it was located. But what a discovery! The food was amazing. I had the beef kabobs and enjoyed every bite. I heartily endorse the... More

This is the best restaurant to go to while in Santa Fe. The food is excellent. The servings are generous and the owner was wonderful. Ordered the steak and stewed pork. Do not miss.

Crowded any time you come here so plan to spend a little quality time. The food is incredible. I had the jerk chicken on red beans and rice with fried plantains. The jerk seasoning was just right, a little bite but not overpowering. Blended with the sweet of the caramelized plantains, well, you get the idea: spicy and sweet at... More

My brother took us to a restaurant that we would not have chosen on our own (lucky us). The Jambo Café defies any preconceived thoughts you may have had about African cuisine. The salads were fresh and thoughtfully prepared with an excellent pomegranate dressing; the beef kabobs were prepared perfectly with a pomegranate sauce. Both the coffee and the wine... More

This was some good food! No talking was involved because we were too busy eating. I had found this place online v while in Albuquerque and made the short drive to Santa fe and glad we did. My girl had the platter with some type of bread oh my god my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I had... More

Just a couple of blocks from the El Rey, we decided to try a new restaurant out of the tourist areas. Jambo turned out to be quite a treat--an African/Caribbean mix. The stuffed phylo appetizer was meat filled and spicy and the kabobs were some of the tenderest I've had. The servers were informative and attentive and the diners appeared... More

Jambo outshines it's strip-mall location. The food is absolutely amazing. When you are in a Santa Fe and cannot look at another green chile, do yourself a favor and try Jambo. We had the daily chef's special, which was some kind of coconut-curry-basil-seafood and chicken stew. Out of this world. Add a great Kenyan Tuskar beer, and it added up... More
