We went to this restaurant because it was number 3 on tripadvisor and it really deserves that ranking. We had a great meal there, very tasty food. Staff was very friendly as well. My advise: Call ahead and get a reservation on Saturday nights. Also very fast service.

In a Santa Fe desert filled with Mexican/New Mexican restaurants serving up variations of the same old thing as well as the ubiquitous chilli's, whether sauces or whole, it's refreshing to experience other ethnic foods or to at least have that option. Now The Jambo Cafe is not necessarily the new kid in town and in fact has been awarded... More

Enjoyed the generous serving of jerk chicken dinner- delicious plantains, rice, kidney beans and a chicken thigh and leg- not quite the same taste as a Jamaican jerk chicken but good. Great bottles of hot sauce on the table from Jamaica and Costa Rico. Interesting menu, had mango, ginger lemonade but was out of it- we were there at 8:15pm... More

Offering Jamacan and African dishes, Jambo delivers on taste and atmosphere. Authentic beverages (not the 3001 flavored coke machines). I had Moroccan Lamb Stew with Cous Cous and Mango Chutney. Totally awesome. If you love this type of food you will love Jambo Cafe. If you are a die hard BBQ patron, it's time to live a little. This place... More

All 12 of us in our group enjoyed our entrees off the African/Caribbean menu. There was something for everyone. Fish, mussels, goat, chicken curry, and goat cheese salad! Delicious and different! Good prices, too! Look over the dessert menu too! Mango cobbler with ice cream and coconut banana cream were favorites.

Our second visit and it was just as good as the first(a year ago)--this is located in a strip mall and easy to get to--certainly worth a detour from the Plaza because of its quality. Good service and we had great food. It's nice because the owner walks around and talks to everyone--prices are reasonable especially considering the quality

Don't get me wrong, Santa Fe has a LOT of great restaurants, of many varied cuisines. But I've been coming here for 20 years, and found Jambo to be a total delight. The food was terrific, full of great (big) flavors -- there's nothing wishy-washy about this menu! The service was lovely, the beer icy cold and served with chilled... More

Well, not if you don't like spicy. But Otherwise, its really wonderful. My daughter and I ate here on our first night in Santa Fe. After a bit of a wait, we got started with the coconut shrimp and the Phyllo appetizer. My daughter also went for the young coconut drink. For the main course she had the Goat Stew... More

This is a rare find and a popular eatery in Santa Fe for a good reason. The food is delicious! We began our eating adventure with fried cornmeal plantain crab cakes served over organic greens topped with Caribbean spices. The crab cakes were wonderful! My date and I were in the mood for lamb and ordered the lamb stew and... More

We visited Jambo after seeing it featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives and then reading the Trip Advisor raves. The plantains were wonderful as an appetizer and we saved about half the plate for dessert. Beef kabobs were outstanding, even better than the combo plate. Good service and very reasonable prices, too. But get a reservation - this place has... More
