The friendly hostess asked if we had reservations but said there was no problem when we told her we did not. We were seated immediately and at once the waiter appeared bringing glasses of water and telling us about the special. My cup of black bean/sweet potato curry was delivered with two spoons and was so rich and flavorful that... More

This is one of the most welcoming restaurants we've ever been to. The food is amazing and different. I would be here a LOT if I lived in Santa Fe.

We visited Jambo out of curiosity because TA ranked it #2 among Santa Fe eateries. I had a very tasty goat stew and my fiance enjoyed his lamb sandwich. The cafe is not particularly attractive and is located in an ugly shopping center, but it is busy, the service is good, and the price is reasonable. I'd recommend the place... More

We lunched here with two friends because of the trip Adviser reviews. There were actually were three positive notes: goat stew, chicken wings, and pecan pie, sampled by two other guests. Negatives: Mahi Mahi in banana leaves and banana cream pie, lamb stew. We will not return.

I've had some good African food before but I was not disappointed despite the odd location. The food and service were both great, the waitress was both attentive and accommodating. Only negative soda was served by the can not from a fountain so I was charged $2 for each can. But the food made up for it and came out... More

Having read the positive reviews for Jambo Cafe we were very excited and expected big things from our visit primarily because of its position on TA as the 2nd best place to eat in town. There are no faults with the restaurant: the food was very tasty, setting was authentic and service wasn't bad. We left satisfied but we were... More

Although this restaurant is a wee bit hard to find as it is in a strip mall the food is absolutely outstanding! The seating area is comfortable and simple and the wait staff is friendly and helpful. We had the bean soup and gazpacho for starters and my husband had the cod special and I had the chicken with peanut... More

My husband did NOT want to try this place as he finds ethnic restaurants too spicy for his liking. At my insistence, we went. And he loved it! The restaurant is very attractive with all kinds of cool artwork and decor. There is actually a store nearby called Jambo imports and I would love to check it out. The menu... More

Food was DELISH! Lots of food for the price. :) My husband and I had a full day sightseeing and decided to get it to go-got the jerk wings, combination platter, roasted lamb sandwich with cumin fries , Jamaican rum pecan pie. Shared and ended up with enough leftovers for lunch for the two of us. Also, don't forget the... More

Wonderful atmosphere! It was laid back, like Santa Fe is, but with a different flair to it. The greenery, the lights, the bongo drum....it felt festive and Jamaican. We had the lamu coconut pili pili shrimp over rice and the combo plate, which included chicken curry, lentils, and goat soup. The chicken curry was SO GOOD! It was way too... More
