Small but delicious

Don't let this little hole in the wall fool you their food packs a big punch. Had the special of the day, one large beef burrito with beans and rice smothered with cheese and red chili sauce, it was great! My wife had the beef tacos and she truly enjoyed them. I must add service was great too... read more

This small cafe near The Plaza was a great find on a Saturday afternoon. My husband said the green chile stew had a delicious flavor. I enjoyed a salad with very fresh greens, blue cheese, pears and pecans. Very friendly, fast service. A good stop for lunch.

We were so glad we had checked Tripadvidor for advice on Santa Fe restaurants- this was the first & probably best restaurant we ate at, in Santa Fe. The waitress was very informative & attentive, and the cook ( we think, the owner) came out to check on how our food was. Very reasonable & tasty !!!

This small cafe, just a few short blocks from the Plaza, is an excellent place for breakfast or lunch. Damian and Maria offer New Mexico specialties such as posole and enchiladas, plus a good selection of sandwiches and salads. This is home cooking: good ingredients prepared with care. The posole is delicious, and I love the paninis. The flan is... More

I will definitely return here. The cup of green chilli stew soup and the huge garden salad (clean and fresh, no fading lettuce leaves in sight) were under $10 US as a combo. And I was able to eat them both, because there was no onion in the soup (allergic to onion). How can you go wrong? Lovely folk run... More

The owner will watch with pleasure as you try his green chile stew. That's a Santa Fe delicacy, and if you never had it anywhere else you would be all right if you had had it here.

Looking for a place for breakfast this morning, and with a stroke of good luck, happened upon Palacio Cafe. We were tickled to learn they were so highly rated and anxious to taste what Damian, the proprietor, had to offer. I had a breakfast burrito that was huge and my compadre had huevos rancheros...not to be disappointed - both were... More

With hundreds of restaurants to choose from, we lucked out finding the Palacio within minutes of pulling into Santa Fe. After an early morning leaving Chicago, we were famished arriving in Santa Fe. The cafe is small, but quaint. We love real local places and this place, even though it's a stones throw from the Plaza, is a local joint.... More
