Good Fresh Gulf Coast Seafood

The new owners have really stepped up and made this a great place for fresh Gulf Coast seafood and excellent wines. The food can be a bit uneven but overall they do a very good job. It is a bit pricey but it is located a few blocks off the Plaza so the price reflects that.

I really really loved this place. Intimate, a little loud but you are almost sitting in the kitchen. We happened to go during restaurant week and they had a prix fixe menu. My companions and I ordered the salads and they decided to have the snapper. I elected to have an imported venison chop. It was phenomenal. The wine list... More

This was our first time at the Galisteo Bistro, and we were pleasantly surprised. This is a small restaurant with an open kitchen and a upbeat vib, but it retains an intimate feeling. Our service was excellent, and our waiter Natru was very attentive. I had the ahi tuna which was cooked to perfection; my husband chose the duck but... More

Made a reservation for a special occasion (my birthday) because we had a wonderful meal here in January. Our food was good tonight but my meal was not what I expected based on the menu description. Our service was very inattentive. I was especially disappointed that our waiter seemed unconcerned when I was unhappy with my meal. Also not much appreciation... More

We had a wonderful dining experience at Galisteo Bistro, so much that we went back a second time in the five days of our Santa Fe visit. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. A nice surprise was that when we went back the second visit was into another week and there were several new options on the menu. The... More

This was our first visit to the Galisteo Bistro & Wine Bar in Santa Fe. Once we arrived in the area we found parking to be almost impossible. We drove around for about 15 minutes before finding a parking spot 2 blocks away. We almost decided that it was too much trouble, but in the end, I am glad we... More

We were warmly greeted by the hostess when we arrived at Galisteo Bistro & Wine Bar, and were seated toward the back. I loved the lighting and ambiance of the place. We'd eaten a late lunch, so we wanted something light. Once the server realized we were only purchasing three appetizers and two glasses of wine and no entrees, he... More

I've been all over the world but this is my first trip to Santa Fe. My friend from Lubbock wanted to impress me with a great dinner and wine. He did! All impressed with the city of Santa Fe I was equally impressed by dinner last night at Galisteo Bistro. My friend was disappointed that the lamb dish he and... More

The restaurant is nice and the service is good but the food was disappointing. My husbands pork chop was tough and the crab cake in my seafood platter was inedible due to a funky taste. The wine list was small and also disappointing. We are happy to pay for a good meal but this was not one.

The service, ingredients, and innovative menu are top-notch here. Very good wine list too. We were knocked out by the Pork Loin Chop. A good prix fixe menu too, and a happy hour for wine. But be prepared to pay for the quality!
