Was walking by at 6:45pm on a Friday - saw empty seats and the owner/chef was gracious enough to find us a table for two. At 7pm the room filled up! Exciting selection of tapas- the crispy grilled eggplant (like triangles of eggplant crisps) with a sweet tomato jam was unusual and delicious. The roasted beet and prosciutto salad was... More

This is the 3rd time we've eaten at this restaurant over a period of a few years, and I have to say that we were disappointed this time around. It was nice that the owner personally seated us and made menu recommendations. Unfortunately, I ordered something different than what was highlighted and ended up with bland, undercooked crab/shrimp cakes. We... More

Galisteo Bistro was a gem-of-a-find in Santa Fe. I rarely write an unqualified positive review, but this place deserves it. Imaginative menu, good choice of wines, including some nice, reasonably priced bottles; implacable service and a pleasant surrounding certainly makes for an excellent evening.

Was traveling with my 13 years old daughter who has a mature palate. Knew we wouldn't want a full meal after eating a heavy breakfast and lunch so made reservations here. My daughter was the youngest patron in the restaurant but we didn't feel out of place. The ambience was very comfortable and accommodating. Ordered the cheese flight, the shrimp/crabcake,... More

Upon entering Galisteo Bistro, we were greeted by the Executive Chef and promptly seated in a cozy corner. Our waiter was outstanding and the food was amazing. Upon departing, we were met by the Chef who thanked us for dining with them. This was my second visit; my husband's first. We definitely will go back.

My daughter & I ate here on a recent visit to Santa Fe. We got a nice table in the back and both went for the prix fixe menu. I had the oyster shooters and the cod. My daughter went for the savory bread pudding and the Jambalaya. It was all excellent. Desert for her was the pistachio ice cream... More

Robert, Marge and Luis and the entire behind the scenes staff deserve high fives all the way around the restaurant! The meal, service and ambiance was perfect for our big night out in Santa Fe. We loved the cod and new york steak. My husband and I always choose something we can share and these meals,(which were suggested by the... More

We've just had another memorable dinner at Galisteo Bistro, this time from their prix fix menu. Cod grilled with a melange of artichoke hearts, peppers, tomatoes and garlic atop and a starter of shrimp remoulade ala New Orleans. A mighty fine lemon tart to finish. We'll be back!

i think one of the most unusual things about the many fine restaurants at Santa Fe is the high number of places that specialize in tapas. Most of them have good tapas, and a couple of them have very bad ones. But the tapas at Galisteo are so much better than the others that there is really no comparison. We... More

We wanted a light - not a full - dinner meal; and the Galisteo Bistro was perfect for this. They served different versions of grilled meat and vegetable salads, and the service was brisk and professional
