As Good as we Remembered from prior visit

My wife and I had fond memories of dining at Galisteo from a prior visit in Santa Fe a couple of years ago, so we wanted to return. Again we made reservations and were glad we did, as they were full on a Wednesday night. My wife started with their Tomato Salad (Sliced heirlooms, spicy sprouts... read more

Found a list of fine dining spots in our room, all with phone numbers for making reservations. Called at 1pm on a Friday and left a message with reservation request for 7pm for 2, left return number. Expected that such a respected place would at least return the call if they were booked. No call. Arrived on time at 7pm... More

We were in need of dinner when we arrived in Santa Fe and stopped in at Galisteo Bistro. Service was excellent and the waiter was very helpful and attentive. I ordered the stuffed pork chop, knowing that to do it right is a chore and when it came it was overcooked and the waiter suggested the house special as an... More

first of all, I was impressed with the place when I walked in, first met our waitress and settled down for what I hoped would be a great dining experience. The look and feel of the place is excellent. The execution of the kitchen and the availability of menu items made the bistro feel as if it was being run... More

Shelly gave us wonderful personal service. We did not feel rushed and we sat by the window looking out on the world going by on Galisteo Street. There is an open kithcen that allows one to watch the two Le Cordon Bleu chefs at work, but does not interfere with dining or conversation. I had the Bistro Tournedos which were... More

We selected this restaurant based on Tripadvisor reviews. The service was personal and yet professional, the food fresh and excellently prepared and the dessert menu completely matched the great food and wine selection! The atmosphere was both intimate (with the kitchen being the active center piece) and yet with enough space and activities going on to have the privacy of... More

This was a very pleasant surprise. The food was great, with some unusual tasty menu items. The wine list was fairly good and moderately priced. The service was excellent. Now to the only thing that was a detractor: the portable A/C unit in the front. It was so loud that if we were not seated in the back of the... More

We stopped in on a whim after having passed up the restaurant several times. They were very friendly, but so much as to bother us, which is hard to achieve. Our service was excellent. Perfect, really. Everything came in time and in the right amount of time in between. The mussel and clam steamer app was very good. The broth... More

Service professional ,timely, friendly, helpful, and accommodating, from Shelley, our server(of course, we requested Shelley the second we dined there), to Adam, the busser, Ruth, a trainee, AND the two Cordon Bleu chefs. Food superb!!!( and wine, also, of course).Best crabcake EVER(ALL lump crab meat), a great seaweed salad, all our dinners were lovely(trout, steak Oscar, etc.. I have worked... More

VERY SLOW. spent more time with busboy filling water glasses than anything else. Food was very salty and not impressive. Didn't order dessert. Personally, I wouldn't go back.
