Two couples went 9/28/2014 at 7:30 with a reservation. We had seen the menu and it sounded wonderful. We were seated promptly and service was good. One of us rated his dinner very good. One ordered the black grouper with "2 prawns." when it came, the prawns were huge and no fish. When we asked, our server checked, came back... More

The dinner our group had at Galisteo Bistro as part of the Wine & Chili Fiesta was off the chart! Everything was prepared to perfection and tasted awesome. The service was great as well. Everyone in our party of 8 kept saying "WOW"! I would definitely eat here again.

We had dinner on Friday. It was 3 of us. We came earlier (5:30), by 6:30 pm the place was packed and no tables available. We ordered bottle of red wine, our first choice was not available. For appetizers two of us had Savory Gorgonzola Torte with Walnut Crust, salad and beets and 3rd person ordered white bean soup. Both... More

Four of us had a wonderful meal last night at Galisteo Bistro. Hadn't been since new ownership. Great menu and presentation. Lots of seafood and meat choices, as well as vegetarian options. Nice wine list and beer choices.

Once upon a time in beautiful Santa Fe, a couple knew they would be lost in this vast land of fantastic food, decided to cut to the chase and consult Trip Advisor. After reviewing many 5 star recommendations, decided on Gallisteo. WOW! Great decision. One had the delicious, fresh and surprisingly light dish of pasta alfredo with huge bay oysters,... More

This new restaurant was packed with a welldressed crowd on a Sat. nite. The owner/host has his grandson, 23, running the kitchen. The menu offered 3 seafood specials last nite. The branzino was delicious and fresh and accompanied by veggies. My husband's cajun snapper also with rice and sausage was tasty and nicely presented. Portions were surprisingly generous. We started... More

The waiter recommended the bison short ribs. So we ordered them. He said they had been slowly cookef for 6 hours and were very tender. They were tough, full of fat and gristle, and even the waiter commented after he saw all the leftover fat and gristle, about how bad they looked. I sent in a review to Open Table... More

Our family dined recently at the Galisteo Bistro in the heart of Santa Fe. For years, we have enjoyed a meal at the famous Compound Restaurant on Canyon Road in our Santa Fe visits, but this year we thought we would try something new. We weren't disappointed by our choice. The food rivalled the Compound but the portions were more... More

We have been holidaying in Santa Fe frequently over the last ten years and have learned to love its cuisine and restaurants. One member of our party had nominated The Galisteo Bistro as her all time favourite and so four of us went for dinner there on a busy Friday evening in late August We chose a selection of small...
