After moving away from lovely Santa Fe just a year ago, coming back to Tune Up cafe is just like coming back to mom's kitchen! The staff remembered me and my order (eggs bennadict with avocado)!!!! The outdoor seating was gorgeous and I am so happy they expanded to more space and a wine bar in the back! If it... More

Loved the outdoor seating. Inside seems cramped. Had the Salvadoran special. The tamale was really good, but the pupusa was bland. Not what I expected after the reviews and seeing it on Diners / Dives / Drive thru's. OK - but I expected to be blown away. I am never a fan of ordering a soda and getting the can... More

My wife and I stopped at the Tune Up for breakfast on a recommendation from a friend. I ordered the Tune Up Breakfast which is a chile relleno, refried beans, scrambled eggs and a tortilla. It was very tasty. My wife had the breakfast burrito smothered in green chile sauce. It was also very tasty. The prices were very reasonable... More

This is a pleasant, informal eatery on a neighborhood in central Santa Fe. The waitstaff are terrific. The food is really quite good and a nice change of pace from Northern New Mexican food. Eat indoors or out. This place deserves a visit (or more than one)!

I was in Santa Fe five days and ate at the Tune Up up four times. Once, after a great desert tour with New Mexico Jeep Tours, we ate at the truck stop cause we were starving and the guide said the food was okay -- it was okay, just. I missed the Tune UP but didn't want to wait... More

This is the favorite restaurant of friends and has great reviews here, and so perhaps we expected too much. This popular restaurant has funky ambiance. . . we loved it. Saying that, the "never frozen" fish (Halibut) in the pasta should have been. . . to preserve its freshness. In general, we fish and (white meat) chicken lovers had disappointing... More

I compiled a list of potential restaurants prior to our NM trip, and we had dinner one evening at Tune Up Cafe, in part because of the reviews, and because it had been featured on DDD. We had trouble finding a parking space, and finally parked on a side street. We didn't have to wait for a table, which was... More

This restaurant was featured on TripleD (Food network) and since we were visiting Santa Fe we decided to check it out. It is located over a mile from the Old Town Square so don't plan to walk from there. The menu is quite extensive - I chose the salmon tacos and my wife chose the mahi-mahi tacos. Both were served... Wanted something different than the usual touristy restaurants. Glad I tried Tune Up Cafe. Love the fact it is in a local neighborhood. Very casual atmosphere and relaxed. The joint was jumping the night I was there, crowded in and out. I was lucky enough to get a table immediately. Even with the crowd the service was fantastic. I again... More

I'm no stranger to the hippy-laden Tune Up Cafe. I have eaten here on several occasions, mostly for lunch, and have had generally pleasing experiences. Today, however, I decided to give breakfast a shot and wished I hadn't. I ordered the Corn Beef Hash (8.95) and it arrived with two eggs oozing an excessive amount of a sticky, clear, liquidy...
