The best place in Santa Fe for original New Mexico cuisine

Had lunch there. Encilldas were fabulous. Salsas = Chrisma. It was to hot for the wife -- she had to ask for the sour cream. Recommendation: go later in the afternoon -- went at 2:30 and were seated immediately.

I was able to snag a table for one on a packed Friday night! This is such a fun and funky restaurant. I had the grilled shrimp entree and it was fresh, flavorful and filling!

If you want great southwestern food, this is the place to go. You have to arrive early or late to avoid the crowd. It gets really busy at lunch time, but the food is worth it

My brother and I drove from Scottsdale in Denver in one car trip, and the thing that sustained us was lunch at The Shed in Santa Fe! We planned our trip to hit The Shed at their lunch hour, and while we had to wait about 20 minutes it was well worth it! I had the #11 which was a... More

Loved the spicy food. Ask which is hotter - red or green chili and then choose accordingly. Great location in the middle of lots of shops.

We enjoyed an evening meal at The Shed on a recent trip to Santa Fe. Luckily we arrived at a time that we could be accommodated without a reservation. Many folks were too late for this as we waited for our table. We both had Mexican entrees. Mine was the fish taco with mango salsa. It was good, but would... More

We were fortunate that we had time and cars to visit The Shed. It is an experience not to be missed. A family restaurant with lots of rooms decorated differently and cozy. We had a wonderful wait person, Andy, who anticipated our requests on food, drink and dividing the checks. Really fun place.

The Shed is an institution that is worth the wait. If you want authentic New Mexican cuisine, you have to experience the red and green chile. But be warned, it is spicy!!! We ordered a side of sour cream to cool it off and it worked great. Huge portion at a very reasonable price. New Mexico at it's finest.
