Great Food

The food was the best Mexican food we have had since we have been in New Mexico. We would go back here to eat for sure. The quacamole was to die for and the enchilidas were delicious

I got the chicken and green chili enchilada and it was so good! The place is nestled and has a great atmosphere. Definitely would go here again!

It's been a year and I still think about of this lunch: Carne Adovada Plate: Pieces of lean pork slow-roasted in a marinade of Shed red chile, garlic and oregano. One rolled blue corn enchilada filled with cheddar cheese, onion, covered with red chile & baked. Served with pinto beans & posole* Holy #@$!, deeelicious

My husband has been eating at The Shed since the 1960's. It's in the heart of downtown Santa Fe near the Palace of the Governors and across from the Cathedral. It's been owned and operated by the same family for over 40 years. It's very popular and thus, crowded. It's frequented by young and old, locals and tourists, families and... More

Stumbled upon the restaurant while shopping in the plaza. It's small but holds quite a few diners. They were very kid friendly (even let us store our stroller in the front). Pros: Kids menu was very reasonably priced. Margaritas were delicious (I had the house but asked for it to be sweetened.) Good lunch menu. The food was good. Guacamole... More

While this restaurant was very highly recommended we found it to be ok but not over the top great. Service was good and the restaurant was very busy. I have to say, in fairness, that we are not crazy about Mexican food so perhaps our opinion should be somewhat discounted.

If you are young and want to party and have some good drinks and some decent food, and don't mind doing so in the confines of a controlled riot, the Shed is for you. If you are a little older and came to Santa Fe for something a little bit authentic and maybe even refined, this is not the place... More

Don't get me wrong. I like the Shed. It has a lot going for it...been here FOREVER, pretty courtyard, nice inside old ambience, very good/authentic Northern New Mex food, and a great location right off the Plaza. Highly recommendable to visitors, too. What could be better? Their sister restaurant, La Choza, that's what.
