Great Service and Food

Food was great and the service was even better. My daughter's order was not correct so they were quick to fix it. Because of the mistake the offered me and my daughter free dessert. The Inn at Loretto has had a series of mostly fine-dining restaurants in the same space now occupied by Luminaria; and they've all been pretty good or better. Luminaria is the one we have returned to repeatedly because of its combination of good food and service in a relatively quiet, relaxed and pleasant setting. In the summer we like the... More

We found this restaurant through our hotel concierge. Our first disappointment came when we sat down to a totally different menu than our concierge had presented. However, the options were plentiful and we each found entrees of interest. The food was presented beautifully and tasted quite good. Portions weren't huge, but we had plenty to eat. We felt the high... More

We were part of a large group that had dinner at Luminaria. Unfortunately, both the chicken and the beef were dry. Given the price and the reviews I read beforehand, we expected better.

Was my first dinner in town. There was a large group dining at the same time I was there. This seemed to back up service and I didn't get the feeling that, as a guest my service was obligatory. Food was ok. Btw, the Bar staff at the Loretto was great and should be commended.

My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant dinner at Luminaria that included an excellent pork belly appetizer and a very good USDA Prime New York Steak and a simple salmon dish. Service was very good. Only sad thing was there were just two other tables in a rather larger restaurant.

This restaurant has a very pleasant setting and attentive staff. However, we went there for breakfast on April 19th and while my wife had an excellent omelet, I made the mistake of ordering the huevos rancheros. This is a kitchen that is clearly not comfortable with New Mexican food. Quite expensive as well. Maybe the management can send their kitchen... More

My wife and I had dinner here last night. When we arrived for our 8p reservation there were only 2 other tables occupied and by the time we ordered we were alone. That in and of itself would have been OK but...from the time we ordered until we left it was clear that the employees were ready for us to... More

Luminaria is the restaurant associated with the Inn of Lorretto hotel. The surprise is the high quality of the restaurant and the associated high prices. As locals, we normally don't frequent hotel restaurants; however, we made an exception to sample the new menu and were pleasantly surprised. The appetizers were interesting and delicious (had the pineapple gezpacho at $11). The... More

The new desserts are delicious and beautiful. I don't want to eat then because they are so gorgeous. Great staff, Charles, and Ruta took wonderful care of me and the entire staff is friendly.
