an excellent French Bakery

Clafoutis is one of our favorite places for lunch or breakfast. The food is always good--as French as you can get in Santa Fe. The croissants and pastries are special, as are the egg dishes, salads, and sandwiches. We had people over last Sunday and ordered a fruit tart. It was delicious, and... read more

I live Clafoutis but have not been there since I had an egg allergy. Yes lots of eggs, but that's not all-- the pastries and coffee are awesome. Good place for take out if you want to avoid crowds-- yes it's too popular so you need to go independent of peak hours, if you mind a 20 minute wait. Parking... More

A really good French cafe run by real French people. I haven't had breakfast. Lunch is a fine selection of soup, salads, sandwiches, etc. Everything is well-prepared, well-presented, and very good. Onion soup, yum! Get a Napolean, and anything else from the pastries. Parking is difficult. You can usually park across the street. Be careful crossing.

Fabulous bread, Coissants, coffee, pastries, breakfast and specials for lunch, lovely people who own and operate it, great staff. 2 problems - difficult to park and a little noisy for a close conversation but charming and delicious.

Cozy dining, busy establishment because the pastry and entree's alike are delicious. Greeted in French is a nice touch too!

This is a fun place to eat with fabulous, authentic French food. You can't go wrong with anything you order, and the atmosphere is energizing. It's great for breakfast, but be willing to wait since it's so popular.

As Francophiles (and tiring of Mexican food) we stopped at Clafoutis just as they were closing for the lunch hour. The pastries in the case appeared to be authentically 'French' style, but the bag of Madeleines I bought was terrible. They resembled not at all a Madeleine, the texture spongy and bland. Unable to have lunch, my evaluation isn;t fait,... More

The wait was definitely worth it! The small and cozy restaurant made our trip to Santa Fe are real joy. Our daughter with Down Syndrome told us she wanted to go to Paris and eat French food as the celebration of her 21st birthday. We had several choices but the fantastic service and the delightful food helped to make it... More

We happened to be staying nearby at the fairmont residence hotel and were looking for a place for an early breakfast. We found this listed on trip advisor and ambled on over just as it opened at 7 to find the place was already hopping. So glad we did: awesome breakfast with an extensive menu and delicious French baguettes and... More
