Not World Famous Fish and Chips

I was on the quest for the best fish and chips on San Juan Island. These were not the best. The tartar sauce was more like mayonnaise. There were LOTS of chips (fries), but they were not too exciting.

We had breakfast memorial weekend. It was very busy but they did a good job of getting us in fast. The food was really good! We had a delicious omelette and blueberry pancakes. The server didn't come back and check on us but luckily we didn't really need anything besides more water. She was nice though just a little unobservant

We were looking for some good local fish and chips -- and a chocolate shake -- and this was the place for it! Fun atmosphere inside too, like a 1950's diner.

We stopped at this place while we were out fishing for Ling Cod. We sat outside since one of our friends had their dog with us. While the wait staff didn't seem to know the menu too well, I ordered the Fried Clam appetizer and the Fish and Chips. Both were prepared very well. I live in Vegas where you... More

Just up the street from the ferry dock and up a flight of stairs is a hangout for the locales, mostly retired men in baseball caps, frequently in small groups, either in booths or around tables. There is a counter as well. While the sign gives an emphasis to fish and chips, note 'world famous' -- as in all countries... More

Stopped here one morning for breakfast - were drawn by the smell of bacon cooking...always a good sign. Friendly atmosphere with traditional 'diner' type breakfast. Enjoyed my hash browns and my husbands french toast looked good, too. Worth the stop.

After arriving earlier than we thought we would at Anacortes we caught the earlier ferry, so had extra time in Friday Harbour. So we looked for a bite to eat with a view. It was very busy when we arrived but found a window seat with a view to the ferry line and water. Staff were friendly and happy. We... More

I was coming back from a job on the island with a co worker & we were starving. We had about 30 min. before the ferry was going to start loading, so we parked in the ferry line & walked up here. We both ordered burgers & fries. It wasn't during a meal time so the place was empty. The... More

This is in a good location, right next to the ferry terminal. It seems to be a place for the locals. Which made it rather loud with chatter and banter between the waitresses and patrons. The dining room looked like a 60's era decor with the red vinyl seats etc. We had a very nice view of the water while... More

We went here on the advice of the Orca Inn Manager. We got there & they wanted us to sit inside, because they said that they weren't serving outside anymore. My husband has a hard time walking, I explained that to the server, she said that there was an area that didn't have stairs. My husband told her that he... More
