We had just returned from a whale watching excursion and were pretty cold hopimg to warm up with a big bowl of clam chowder. Reviews of this restaurant mentioned the chowder favorably. So we were disappointed to find the choder to be of a very thin, watery consistency. It had a good flavor, but was more like broth than the... More

So close to the ferry terminal, Cask and Schooner often has a waiting line. If you tell your server that you are short on time because you are catching a ferry, they will tell you what dishes can be prepared quickly (salads, chowder, fish and chips). The fish and chips were fast but a bit greasy, and the fries were... More

We took the ferry over to Friday Harbor and stopped for lunch here. The place is very nice both on the outside and inside. I got the fish n chips which were very good. Definitely a good spot for lunch with great decor. I would definitely go back.

Seated quickly despite being busy (even on a Monday night), friendly atmosphere, served promptly. Average food quality. Chose chicken and crab risotto from the dinner special: chicken didn't have much taste despite a pesto sauce on top; the rice and crab based dish was good but salty (It was closer to a crab and rice soup than the creaminess that... Expected basic pub fare and were pleasantly surprised with variety on the menu. Went early (630) on a weekday and wait was only ten minutes for a group of four. Vegetarian daughter had several tasty choices and was happy with the eggplant sandwich. Son liked his burger; we all enjoyed stealing his fries (best I've had in a while). The... More

Heard good things about this place so we gave it a try, even though there was a 20 minute wait for a table at 1PM. They had a lot of English and Irish food on their menu - Meat Pie, Bangers and Mash, etc. which is fine - just a heads-up. Service was decent and atmosphere was okay. Food was... More

This place takes FIRST PRIZE for the BEST clam chowder ever ..... and that from a connoisseur of the stuff who lived in San Fran and Manhattan - the capitals of clam chowder. It was not unexpected to have to wait 40 minutes for a table for dinner during the the height of the tourist season. It's a quaint area where you can wander around and browse in the shops. Dos: Bacon Wrapped Figs Steamed Mussels in a tomato broth with chorizo !! Chicken Sandwich with Brie, Apple, Bacon, Fig Aoili Chocolate flourless... More

Convenient location to have lunch while waiting for the ferry. Friendly staff although service was a bit slow. We had the steamed mussels and they were excellent! Locally sourced from one of the nearby islands the mussels were plump and very tasty. The clam chowder and clam steamers were okay. As with most pubs they served local crafted beers. Nice... More

Stopped in here due to a ferry fiasco and it was decent. Like other reviews, thought the prices exceed the food quality. The service also lacks, but in fairness that seems to be a trend on the island. The burger was the one thing that I would 100% recommend. Beet salad was nothing special, the lettuce was heavy on the... More
