Wonderful meal, great service

My husband and I decided to stop at Coho very last minute on a Thursday night. We felt very fortunate to get a table without a reservation. Coho had been recommended to us by John at Wildwood Manor - great suggestion! The food was delicious (we had scallops and halibut) and the service prompt... read more

The salmon was OK, we had much better at the Casino in Anacortes on the way home. The monkfish was rubbery and rather tasteless but perhaps that is just the way monkfish is. Table bread was a few thin slices of baguette. Disappointed that they did not have more choices in reasonably priced wine but the $40 pinot noir was... More

We enjoyed Coho so much we went back a second time. The restaurant is very small so reservations are a must. The service was terrific and the food is absolutely sensational. The king salmon was wonderfully seasoned, the pan seared halibut had a yummy crust and the pork loin was amazing as well. Coho also has a great wine list... More

Lynn, Than you for dining with us at Coho Restaurant. Chef Bill has a delicate touch with seafood and the new halibut preparation with quinoa and shrimp nage is a perfect accompaniment for the perfectly seared fish. We look forward to your retun visit. With kind regards, am More

We enjoyed our special night out at Coho! Be sure to make a reservation as the restaurant is very small and they fill up quickly! The service was outstanding, and the food was exceptional. We enjoyed sharing a grilled octopus appetizer and a crab cake appetizer. Two of us had the halibut and it was the best I've ever had.... More

Hi! Thank you for dining at Coho Restaurant. We are pleased that you enjoyed your evening with us. Chef Bill's octopus and crab cake appetizers are really popular, so much so that we have the recipe for the octopus preparation on our website. We have been sourcing local Puget Sound octopus for the dish. Chef Bill has altered the cooking... More

We all had the halibut and loved it. The appetizers and drinks were also terrific. Very nice service as well. I can't remember a better meal.

Thank you for dining at Coho Restaurant. We are thrilled you enjoyed your evening. The Alaskan Halibut dish is really popular. It is pan seared and served with shrimp on a bed of house made fettuccine in a seafood nage. There are several seafood appetizers available each night including scallops and octopus and a daily special that can be either... More

Not awful but frustrating when the food I make at home in Denver is better. I was excited for fresh seafood and my salmon was overcooked, dry, and had no sauce. Thus it was really bland. Meal came with one choice of soup which was leek and cauliflower. They were unaccomodating when I mentioned I don't really like leaks or... More

Holly, Thank you for dining at Coho Restaurant. Our Chef's Tasting menu comes with a soup and salad, choice of two entrees, one of our house made sorbets or ice cream along with a bottle of wine for 2 for $70. It is a great value. We are always happy to offer a larger salad in lieu of the soup.... More

We visited the island and walked around looking for a place to eat. We did not have a reservation, but recommend it! Our food was wonderful and the staff very friendly.

The restaurant is really, really small and the restroom is right in the middle of it. The food was OK, but at these prices, I expected something more in line with what we had in Seattle. I had been looking forward to dining here after the great reviews, but none of us (5) had a dinner worth remembering. Sigh!

You definitely need a reservation. Our hotel, Tucker Inn, managed to get us one. We came at 5:30 which allowed us to order their sampling menu. Excellent. And price was less than we expected. Food and service was 1st class.

After a disappointing visit ( see my other review) to another restaurant in Friday Harbor, I was concerned about visiting another high end restaurant. However, I was impressed that the management has taken Trip Advisor seriously, and respond to most comments left on line. We went and we were not disappointed at all. What a great place.
