During our recent stay on San Juan Island we dined at the CoHo restaurant. What a delight! We went early enough to enjoy the Chef's special which includes a bottle of nice quality wine, a light appetizer , salad and entree of your choice. I choice the great of duck which was delicious and a very ample portion. The service... More

I seem to take the time to write a review for places that were was either very very good or very bad. The Coho Restaurant was bad. My wife's seafood dish smelled like it had been spoiled. Maybe the fish was kept too long on ice or had spent a lot of time in their freezer or the freezer had... More

Richard, Hi! Thank you for dining with us. We pride ourselves in using and sourcing high quality ingredients in our menu preparations. This time of year, we receive 3-4 fresh fish orders a week. We order small quantities to ensure that all of our fish and shell fish are enjoyed at their peak. I apologize, if there was something amiss... More

One of the best meals we have enjoyed in our trip through the Pacific NW. The flavor and preparation and low key friendly service makes us wish we lived closer. We made reservations from across the country in advance and had no problem. For small appetites two appetizers was perfect to leave room for dessert. They take such pride in... More

It took us two days of trying to get in but it is worth the effort. I am almost hesitant to write the review because I hope not to wait in the future, but Coho deserves the praise. The restaurant has 9 tables and reservations are essential. While a bit pricy for the area, i would still say prices are... More

I made a reservation for my wife and I to eat dinner here at 7 on a Wednesday night via Open Table. I was quite happy when the reservation was CONFIRMED and we looked forward to a nice evening meal. However, upon arrival, the hostess asked if our reservation was made via Open Table. When I responded "yes", she apologized... More

Mike, Hi! I apologize for the problems you experienced with Open Table. In addition to our online presence with them, we take phone reservations. Periodically, we end up with a double booking due to our small size and the high demand of the the busy summer season. We did everything in our power to alert you as soon as possible.... More

Very small and reservations are needed. Party of four arrived at 8:15 for dinner and were treated as we were part of the family. Great menu and service.

For couples, this is your spot in Friday Harbor. To get 5 stars you've got to have ambiance, menu, service, location and execution. Coho was the perfect romantic dinner spot with just a few tables, lighting was just right and lovely French jazz in the background. Meal was executed absolutely perfectly. Not fancy, just appropriate menu of local fish and... More

We had our main dinner of our class reunion at Coho. We had ordered in advance, and we had been given the choice of salmon or of a vegetarian plate. That salmon was some of the best I have ever had!The smoked salmon amuse-bouche was nicely prepared and quite good. The dessert, a blackberry cobbler, was marvelous. Wish I lived... More

We've been coming to the San Juan Islands for over 20 years and have our list of restaurant favourites. Tried Coho on our last visit and again this time. Consistently great experience, creatively prepared food, nice wine list, and attentive service. This restaurant is now on our must visit short list.

Nice menu - we could have just worked our way down the starters. Extensive wine list. Service was a bit spotty, but food very good and well-prepared (my king salmon was perfectly medium-rare). Small room so a large party can make it a bit noisy.
