Delicious!

Highly recommend! Hard to find these authentic Belgian-style fries. And our shared crepe was FILLED with crab and mushrooms. Very good selection of wines by the glass. Go here!

My first time in this establishment and it blew my mind how crazy good everything was. My server Christian made my birthday experience one to remember. The food was delicious and the service was probably the best I've had in this city so far. I will be referring many people your way. Keep up all the good work...

We love lunching at this great little Cafe. We usually get the mussel (moules) dish (multiple 'sauces available). This time we tried the Bavarian with bleu cheese and it was simply outstanding. They have a wine pairing recommendation, but we always go with the Stella on tap with Frites on the side. The best part - NOT on the riverwalk... More

We have visited La Frite each time we visit San Antonio and we are never disappointed. The quality of the food is always high. The Moules Provencale, Battered Lobster tail and Pepper steak were right on. The wine choices are extensive and the desert was a decadent Belgian Waffle. We drove home totally sated and happy with our choices. We... More

Big surprise, and such a nice break from Texas fare. Elegant simple French atmosphere and offerings. Lemon caper chicken with vegetables was superb! Hanger steak and fries looked excellent and my friend enjoyed. Great selection of Chimay and Duvel etc. beer. I don't like beer but I do like Duvel and Chimay. So very pleasant a place to lunch, you... More

Husband and I decide to try La Frite after they were written up in the newspaper for their excellent French Fries. French Fries? Belgian Fries? While they are, undoubtedly some of the absolute best fries in the world, this restaurant is so much more! Husband had the puffed pastry with chicken in a creamed sauce, I had the same with... More

I don't know if this is our only favorite, but this is one of our favorite restaurants in town. Great value. Well delivered. Quaint atmosphere (I thought I was somewhere on the east coast). Good menu. Great value on the wine list. We have had lobster, salmon, and beef bourguignon. The beef bourguignon was on a cool night in San... More

This is a very small restaurant which is hard to find. Outdoor signage needs to be more visible so entrance is easier to find. We took advantage of their participation in Restaurant Week and enjoyed the mussels, crepes, and coq au vin. However, they seemed to be short handed- after ordering, we waited almost 40 minutes before entrees arrived. There... More

Enjoyed a lovely dinner here where the food selections were typically Belgian. I had the escargot which was excellent. Service was good, attentive but a little slow. The wine list was good with quality reds but above average price. The Belgian beer range also good, and tastings were offered before orders taken. The food, when it arrived, was well presented,... Service was nice until the end of the meal. Food was good; packaged butter, bread ok, salad and main fine. Atmosphere loud and crowded on a Friday nite. Manager sits at a table with a computer until it got too crowded. After we were presented with the tab, the waiter started to top off our water when he was told... More
