We dined at La Frite in August 2014 as part of our family reunion. Since we spent several years living abroad in Belgium we were surprised and pleased to see a Zagat rated Belgian Restaurant in San Antonio. We were not disappointed. The moules (mussels) were outstanding and served with crusty bread. The Steak Au Poivre and frites was a... More

This was one of the best meals we have ever had in SAT and there have been many. It is a must try when you go to the beautiful city.

We had a magnificent meal and fantastic service at La Frite. Our server Patrick did an excellent job and made it easy to have a nice dinner with our 2 kids. The Belgian moules bright back memories from our time in Belgium before we got married and and the frites were nice and crisp. The Belgian beer is served in... More

Found this restaurant during our last trip to San Antonio. Very nice location in the King William District. Best parking is in neighborhood which is great for walking after meal. I had the Hanger Steak and was very impressed. Wonderful flavor, cooked to whichever temperature you want. The wait staff was excellent. The helpings were plentiful and just a wonderful... More

My husband and I had lunch there - ham and gruyere crepes and they were wonderful. He even had a pear crepe for dessert and I had chocolate mousse which was the dessert of the day. One of their specialties is mussels, prepared in various sauces. We enjoyed lunch so much, spoke to the owner, had a great waiter (Marco)... More

A local took me to La Frite and I loved it. It's a very unassuming little restaurant but with classic Belgian menu. She had the Croque Monsieur and I had the Vol Au Vent, which was really delicious. I wish I'd saved room for dessert!

Looking for a break from Tex Mex in San Antonio? Head to Le Frite! It's a cozy little bistro at the far end of downtown, near HemisFair Park. We pulled into one of the designated parking spaces and tumbled in. First of all, we had a GREAT waiter. Even though Le Frite doesn't have a kids' menu, our server fixed... More

We wanted an alternative to the many Mexican restaurants in the area, and I found this one on Trip Advisor. It is just down the street from Rosario’s on South Alamo. They have a typical Belgian/French menu, and all six of us enjoyed our meal. It is within walking distance from the city center Riverwalk area.

Four of us dined at La Frite for lunch and were not disappointed. Great little restaurant with wonderful service. We shared an order of foie gras and then had four entrees...two orders of mussels, flounder and a bowl of carrot soup. A few glasses of wine and we were set. Look forward to going back! By the way...if you like... More

This was our first time. It was very busy this Saturday night and we had arrived at 6PM. Our waiter was very good. Truly enjoyed the food and the mussels where great. Foie gras was excellent and served on a small Belgian Waffle with a great sauce. Coulod have been a bit more Foie gras on the plate. The only... More
