Our new favorite?

I don't know if this is our only favorite, but this is one of our favorite restaurants in town. Great value. Well delivered. Quaint atmosphere (I thought I was somewhere on the east coast). Good menu. Great value on the wine list. We have had lobster, salmon, and beef bourguignon. The beef... read more

This is a very small restaurant which is hard to find. Outdoor signage needs to be more visible so entrance is easier to find. We took advantage of their participation in Restaurant Week and enjoyed the mussels, crepes, and coq au vin. However, they seemed to be short handed- after ordering, we waited almost 40 minutes before entrees arrived. There... More

Enjoyed a lovely dinner here where the food selections were typically Belgian. I had the escargot which was excellent. Service was good, attentive but a little slow. The wine list was good with quality reds but above average price. The Belgian beer range also good, and tastings were offered before orders taken. The food, when it arrived, was well presented,... Service was nice until the end of the meal. Food was good; packaged butter, bread ok, salad and main fine. Atmosphere loud and crowded on a Friday nite. Manager sits at a table with a computer until it got too crowded. After we were presented with the tab, the waiter started to top off our water when he was told... More

We received our appetizers and entrees in a timely manner. The food was well presented and I enjoyed my Crepe with crabmeat and mushrooms. Found the staff to be friendly. We had a large group of people. Nice selection of wine.

I am sure the food would have been great had we actually received it however after an hour and 20 minutes of waiting my wife and I decided to throw in the proverbial towel. Outside of brininging us a soup and salad 30 minutes in our server didn't check on us a single time. When I flagged him down and... More

La Frite was very good and with great atmosphere. Local people and not far away from the congress center.

First time after being 8 months away from Belgium that I tasted a good "Steak frites" and I loved it. The steack was cooked perfectly and fries were delicious as good as in Belgium. The staff was also very nice. If you want to try Belgian food, you need to go there for sure.

If you're looking for something out of the ordinary and you're not allergic to seafood, then here you will try one of the best Mussel Casseroles in the Alamo City. They also have an ample selection of Belgian Beer (definitely worth to try) without being the typical Irish Pub we all have been to. This place is great for couples,... More

Went in with a group of four. Service was outstanding. The moules were good but small. The frites were good but not what you'd find in Belgium. The mushroom soup, according to my companions, was excellent, and the salads were imaginative and presented beautifully. The entrees ranged from good to very good. The wine list is adequate. With a bottle... More
