We selected the restaurant because of the mostly excellent ratings it received on TripAdvisor. The setting in the hotel is great, as is the atmosphere in the restaurant. Service was fine, but the food just didn't live up to expectations.

She coughed all over her hands then grabbed our plates to pull them away, same with our orange juice glasses. I don't know if there is greater value for your money anywhere. Sunday brunch especially is a wonderful experience. Always a good variety of choices. Every dish I have tried over the years has been prepared very well. Buffet's aren't always the best, but this one is always kept fresh.

The Colonial Room has an excellent breakfast buffet. We go quite often to San Antonio and always enjoy our stay at the Menger and having the Colonial Room inside is a definite plus. Wonderful food.
