We are located right on the SAN ANTONIO RIVERWALK, directly under the SAN ANTONIO HYATT REGENCY HOTEL.Unlike other SAN ANTONIO BARS & CLUBS, MadDogs is an AUTHENTIC BRITISH theme pub.

We offer a full range of draft & bottled IMPORTED BEERS, ice cool exotic cocktails and extensive domestic beverage options.

We are situated on the VERY BEST Riverwalk Location; our tropical terrace nestles on the banks of The River itself. The uninterrupted tranquility allows options for relaxing with a ‘cold one’ or simply people watching as the Riverwalk tourists bustle by. Either way you can’t avoid enjoying our LITTLE PIECE OF BRITAIN, whilst basking in the South Texas sun.

Yummy

Located on the River Walk. We enjoyed a table in the sun overlooking the river. The rib eye sandwich was delicious. Thinly sliced, sautéed onions, green peppers and mushrooms made for a great sandwich! The wait staff was friendly and efficient. Resonablely priced.

Fair attempt at recreating a British Pub feel, however of the many places we went on the Riverwalk the prices at Mad Dogs seemed to be the highest. It did not seem to keep people away, however, although I suspect the attractive staff and minimalist attire had something to do with that.

They are known for "yards, kilts, fish and chips, and fun." I thought the food was priced a bit high for what we ordered but the location on Riverwalk probably costs a fortune. It's a fun little place if you want some comfort food and cute waitresses in very short kilt/skirts.

We did not eat at the Mad Dog British Pub but i assume they have decent pub fare as the patio was packed with patrons eating away when we went. We just had drinks and lots of them...i actually had a great time at this place...drinks were cheap enough...I think we took advantage of some happy hour specials.waitresses were ok..overall... 10 of us ate here while in town for a Gymnastics meet. The service was great but the food was just average. I had the Steak and Ale Pie (a little bland). My wife had the Potato Soup and she did enjoy it. Mixed reviews from the others in our group. The chocolate cake was good and the bread pudding... More

Nothing exceptional. The Big Ben sandwich was ok. The beef was a bit dry. The Artichoke and Spinach Dip was very good. May be a good spot for a beverage and starter. Staff was friendly and accommodating even though we had to swipe utensils from a neighboring table.

Right in the center of all the action. Mad Dog is a happening place. We only stayed for cocktails, but the menu was nice and food 'looked' good as it went past. The patio was lovely can't wait to go back and try some.

There were very good aspects and not so good aspects of our meal at Mad Dogs. First, very cool décor. You are expected to seat yourself, but a sign telling you that would have been helpful. We stood there waiting to be seated and several servers and bartenders looked at us, but said nothing. Finally I asked if we should... More

Strolled by and this place looked inviting so we went in. Started out with a libation, then saw the menu included "Scotch Eggs".. We had heard about them, but never tried them before. They were delicious! Friendly staff on a busy and cold Monday night following Christmas! Ended up staying for dinner. GREAT find!
