Yes, they have attractive waitstaff in kilts. Yes, they are cheery and friendly. Yes, you cna get your favorite macrobeer here. If you were thinking this pub might have a nice selection of microbrews on tap, you'd be mistaken. Apparently management has missed the microbrew revolution and prefers to still with rice beers, Guiness, and maybe a nod to Sam... More

Stopped in for a drink and some football. Good atmosphere and good drinks. Bathroom is the stereotypical point. Smell= rancid and stale piss Floor= old toilet seat behind the toilet. What looks like dry urine on the floor near the sink in the stall. One drink enough....

So my beloved and I went out for a nice evening on the town and we usually go to Mad Dogs. Well we hand Grumpystiltskin (the doorman) our IDs and greet him with a casual "hey what's up, how are you," to which we received an unfriendly glare. Then he starts looking at my ID and looking back at me... More

Located right on the River Walk next to the Hyatt, this ersatz British/Scottish pub has good outdoor seating on the river as well as good indoor pub like seating at the bar and tables. They have good English and Irish beers on tap. The service is good. The menu features UK appetizers and meals and more typical American fare. Not... More

The food is pretty standard pub grub, but this joint separates itself from the pack on its drink specials and selection. Different options each day, and a solid happy hour menu. The service was very good, my low ball never ran empty and I had numerous options on whiskey. My only gripe (but not terribly important) is they didn't pour... More

Mad Dogs, on the Riverwalk. We try to make it there at least twice a year. The food is dee'licious and now that my wife knows she can get grilled shrimp instead of breaded/fried shrimp, we may be back more often. Now the "Long Island Iced Tea," that's another thing, it was little on the weak side. I know my... More

I was looking forward to a great breakfast. Unfortunately I would not even give it to my dog. The bacon was as dry as blotting paper with no taste at all. I even have my doubts it was real bacon. The sausage was over cooked, extremely dry and tasted like cardboard. The servers were also very poor. I will never... More

A great change of pace when you're surrounded by Mexican food places. Salads, sandwiches, soup, etc.

This British pub has the best atmosphere and vibe without a cover charge on the Riverwalk. Beers ran $6-7, service was good. The only downside was we sat inside and they had a band. While they were playing it was nearly impossible to talk but the outdoor seating looked great. Wish I would have found this place the first night... More

Nice place. It looks good inside and is nice to sit and visit or have a beer. Food was good. Famous for fish and chips. Cottage pie is good.
