Great Atmosphere; Lousy Food - Go For The Beer!

Great English style pub atmosphere, dark wood, stained glass, etc. Ordered scotch eggs, came out burnt, sent back, came out again the same way. Their equivalent of a club sandwich, mediocre, wouldn't get again. Won't be back for food, but the beer and atmosphere. Waitress Shelby, was sweet with a... read more

Even thought this place is on the Riverwalk, which is very touristy, if you are in the area for a convention it is a good bet. It is English Pub style in decor and menu. They often have live music which makes it more fun. My husband had fish and chips and it was a nice portion and very good.... More

Great fish and chips and pub like atmosphere. Food was good and the staff very cute in their tartans and knee socks, and they have a nice patio area off of the walk way. But the reason we stopped was the good variety of vegetarian options on the menu. Thank you! Would recommend, all plates were good and fresh. Yummy... More

We sat facing the Riverwalk and watched the seas of humanity walk by. We enjoyed cold drinks and fairly good food. We had experienced excellent service with no push to turn the table. The Scotch eggs were great!

I don't normally do British pubs when on holiday, I find them tacky! However...... I just needed a cold drink and to escape the heat of the late afternoon sun. An hour later and I was ordering dinner. The St George's dragon rib was amazing, it literally fell off the bone. Beautiful. My tip for here... Make sure Lauren is... More

Food was good however, the service sucked. She acted like we were bothersome to her. I did like the theme and establishment. Still recommend - just hope you get a different server.

Found this restaurant along the San Antonio Riverwalk that offered extra vegetarian specials while catering to a convention that was in town. We ate lunch there and enjoyed the spagetti with vegetarian meatballs and the veggie "chicken" salad sandwich. It was fun dining outdoors so that we could see the action along the Riverwalk.

It has a great atmosphere and the drinks were amazing (had lemon drop shots). The staff was also very friendly.

Let's start with the disappointing service. The young ladies work for tips and should be friendly to everyone. A mature couple (us) will probably tip better than those young guys you're cozying up to. Plus good friendly service can make up for food that's not outstanding. The potato skins were good, a bit spicier (contained chili) than expected, and the... More
