We had a great time there. Went in around midnight, got lucky enough to find a place to sit down. The waitresses were very quick, never had to wait for a drink, lots of people lots of drinking and lots of dancing, whether you want to participate or people watch, this is a great place!

except they are all wearing kilts, that's kind of weird, but okay...Food was fine, beer was reasonably priced, and pretty much any location on the water is going to be good.

Ordered the scotch eggs and fries. The scotch eggs were running with fat and the chips were chewy and cold. Ho well, they know a thing or too about pub food. Cold unpalatable and over priced. It made me home sick! PS, where is the dart board? You can't call yourself a British pub without on.

We had a great lunch at Mad Dogs Irish Pub on the River Walk in San Antonio. It was my partner and I and my 19 year old grandson. We all had different traditional Irish Pub foods and they were all delicious. The service was great and they had great prices on their drink on the day. It was a... More

We loved this pub. We actually went back a second time because I liked my meal so much. We really enjoy the English pub atmosphere and this place did not disappoint. There was a good selection of vegetarian options and they were delicious! My hubby enjoyed his food too. We sat inside once and outside once. The patio outside is... More

Yes, they have attractive waitstaff in kilts. Yes, they are cheery and friendly. Yes, you cna get your favorite macrobeer here. If you were thinking this pub might have a nice selection of microbrews on tap, you'd be mistaken. Apparently management has missed the microbrew revolution and prefers to still with rice beers, Guiness, and maybe a nod to Sam... More

Stopped in for a drink and some football. Good atmosphere and good drinks. Bathroom is the stereotypical point. Smell= rancid and stale piss Floor= old toilet seat behind the toilet. What looks like dry urine on the floor near the sink in the stall. One drink enough....

So my beloved and I went out for a nice evening on the town and we usually go to Mad Dogs. Well we hand Grumpystiltskin (the doorman) our IDs and greet him with a casual "hey what's up, how are you," to which we received an unfriendly glare. Then he starts looking at my ID and looking back at me... More

Located right on the River Walk next to the Hyatt, this ersatz British/Scottish pub has good outdoor seating on the river as well as good indoor pub like seating at the bar and tables. They have good English and Irish beers on tap. The service is good. The menu features UK appetizers and meals and more typical American fare. Not... More
