don't waste your time

Putting up a few flags, serving Guinness, and having the servers wear kilts does not make this an English pub. Service was ordinary. Atmosphere may be okay if you're 21. Music was atrocious and the DJ constantly made inane conversation over the music. Couldn't get out soon enough. Had a great time... read more

Loudest "Pub" in the country. Fine for a quick bite and they do have some English beer on tap, but food is just OK. Lamb shank was good but everything else fell flat. Convenient and fast with a wide selection of food, but the quality just isn't there. Much better places to eat on the Riverwalk.

Bar gets 5 stars for atmosphere and music. Bar gets 3 stars for service. Wait staff never came by for drink orders, just go to the bar to order drinks!

Love the staff in their plaids decked out to give us a friendly time. The food was good. I had a grilled chicken breast, moist and perfectly done.

Looking for bangers and mash, fish and chips or shepherd's pie? This is your place. I didn't feel my entree was anything out of the ordinary. My waitress was nice enough, it took a bit to get some silverware, but the food arrived warm. Comfort food.

Maybe I'm just uncultured, but I have never been in a bar/club like Mad Dogs in my life. Me and my two best friends spent a very spontaneous night in San Antonio. We went, fell in love and decided to stay the night. Being there during the day we saw all the bars and clubs and wanted to experience it!... More

We watched to Superbowl here. 1/2 yard beers are a good deal, fun things on tap. Good service, mediocre food. Beef and Ale pie and fish and chips were good, but burger over cooked, fries cold, beef quesadilla greasy and BLT wrap was all lettuce, only had tiny little bacon bits you needed a magnifying glass to find

Regular bar food, but sitting outside was a treat. The wait staff was good. Turns into club later in the evening.

I was visiting the Riverwalk with girlfriends, ended up at Mad Dogs every night for drinks and dancing. Friendly staff.
