Roast Duck? Not many places in this town

Wah kee has been the only place in San Antonio for Roast Duck. Always fresh, always crispy and reasonably priced. You get a half duck for under $10. Most people I talk to have never had it, so I have taken a few friends who are now repeat eaters. Having previously lived and worked near Chinatown... read more

Ate here regularly as it is on the way home. I started bringing moo shu chicken home and while they give a large bowl of hoisen sauce when you eat in the restaurant, they just give one of those soup spoon sized plastic containers for the whole dinner when you take home. I made the mistake of asking for extra... More

We have been coming to this place for years now. There prices have gone up very little over the years and they managed to keep the quality of food and service. They have servers who worked there for years thus they recognize their repeat customers. Their Kung Pao chicken is my favorite as the peanuts are always nice and crunchy... More

This is my go-to place in San Antonio for great Chinese food. If you go early in for dinner they have a special menu with smaller portions that are filling and very tasty. Usually a dish from the regular menu will serve two diners. If you leave this place hungry, it is your own fault. I have had seafood and... More

Loved the food here. The lunch specials were okay but love the authentic Chinese dishes especially the roast duck and chow funn.

We chose this place because it had good reviews here. We walked in and the place was nice and we liked the atmosphere, but it took them a good 10 minutes to even greet the table! Once we were acknowledged, the guy gave great service. The food tasted horribly bland though. I usually love even bad Chinese, but this I... More

The food is exceptional. It is hidden in a strip center behind the Whataburger and Luby's on Blanco north of Loop 1604 so it is difficult to find. I usually get food to go and the staff always gets the order perfect. Reasonably priced and quick service. The staff members are extremely polite and efficient. This is a hidden gem.

The portions are huge and the food very well seasoned and cooked. Good hint: when you go to an Asian restaurant if you see other Asian families in there, like this place, that tells you is pretty good. We found this place on our last day so we could not go 3-4 times more, but we will be back whenever... More

Just went there with some friends and loved the food. One of our friends ordered a Hunan dish without realizing it would be too hot for her but the waitress was able to bring her a non-spicy dish without any problem.
