Fast service, clean, good food. It felt like I was eating food from more traditional Mexican cooks. Old fashioned diner ambiance.

We met friends here for dinner. After hearing them rave about the food at the Blanco Café for quite some time, we were looking forward to trying the food. Sadly, I was disappointed. This was some of the blandest food I’d eaten in a long time. The strongest flavor in anything I tasted was the strong taste of chlorine in... More

I grew up in this area back in the 60's and any time we can we try and go back to the original Blanco Calf. Man it brings back memories from the past. They stat yelling your order to the kitchen after your order. Great food and the Founder, God rest his sole, really wanted to create a family place... More

We went here after a morning basketball game. I had two breakfast tacos and coffee. There were six of us - five adults and the young basketball player. I had two breakfast tacos which were okay, though not particularly hot, but overpriced based on what I was used to. Most of the others had been there before and voiced no... More

Good place for breakfast. Not as good as El Milagrito but still good. Located in the Midtown section of San Antonio, by Blanco and Oblate, this little eatery is tucked away in back of a strip mall so it's kind of hard to find. I had the Huevos Rancheros and they were nice and spicey. My wife had two tacos... More

One of the very few places we go to for breakfast! They are a family owned place with down home cooking and very friendly service! We've been going here for quite a few years and the way we're greeted we must be family Food's very good and large portions with very reasonable prices! A must on a Sunday morning!

I have been a loyal patron since I was in the womb. Growing up on this food, I have seen this place transform from questionable hole in the wall to an updated restaurante. Blanco's has always had good business and for good reason. They have traditional Mexican cuisine made the same way as my grandmother. The portions are healthy, the... More

On our way back from Port Aransas, we dropped in for a late lunch on Sunday and the dining room was packed, but most were on the last half of their meals. Parking was a little tight in front, but we managed to get a spot as someone had just pulled out. I can say I noticed how dusty or... More
