Average food. High prices.

Average food. Not so good service. High prices. I doubt we will ever eat at a Lone Star Cafe again. There are much better choices on the riverwalk.

This place has good food and generous portions. My server was top notch. The location is in the middle of a great area for anything a person could want.

After walking a big portion of the River Walk, we decided when in Texas, we must do steak. The ribeye was cooked the way we ordered it and the waitress was great. nice relaxing evening and great escape from the humidity that the storms have brought to the state.

Visited for a quick dinner while walking along the river. The food is overpriced and lousy not to mention that the service is below average. Bartenders were fighting and throwing trays around as we were attempting to order. Then as it started raining we were denied a table with an umbrella because they were taken...taken but empty. Safe your money!

Upon arrival greeted by two heifers claiming to be hostesses filling their faces. Service was almost non existent. Had to wait for waiters drinks and food except for appetizer which was brought with main course.I ordered a simple cheese burg upon arrival it was cold and no cheese.I pointed the lack of cheese on the burger the reply was I... The hamburgers were really bad for a steakhouse. Really surprising. First visit to a lone star and my last. Food was bad and service was eh. Or waiter told us that he doesn't eat there. Don't get the chicken wings or buffalo chicken sandwich.

Sirloin with champignon and smashed potatoes is a choice for lunch under $8. The place stands above river level giving a nice perspective view of the river and sidewalk.

We stopped for lunch on a rainy day. Upstairs has a great covered patio to eat outside. The food was average at best. One of the lunches was delivered after everyone else finished their meal which left one unhappy camper. There was also confusion with the bar beverages. There are lots of places to choose on the river. If it... More

Our first night in San Antonio and we arrived late and were looking for a place to go. Took a chance on the Lone Star and were uninspired. The Lone Star was mediocre at best and the service uninspired. We were hungry and only sent back the cold veggies, fries and ate the rest.
