We had great service and enjoyed the appetizers as well. The waiter was new, but did a great job. I'm sorry I forgot his name.
The location on the balcony of the riverwalk was fantastic. Our waitress was great but obviously overworked with too many tables on a busy night - she went out of her way to make sure out toddler got his food asap though. The food was reasonably priced and tasted fine, just nothing special - same caliber of steak/veggies I would... More
Some of the worst food ever in my attempt to eat this food. The TV was on showing some type of sports, March band going from table to table playing, meanwhile they were playing music on the in house system. T alk about confusion...I mean make up your minds.... Mean time I couldn't eat the affair food..never again!
In town for convention. Wanted Texas steak at family owned restaurant. Lone Star Café had second floor seating overlooking Riverwalk. Very cold night and waiters brought us a heater to stay cozy. Cowboy steak was good.
Delicious steak! Staff was uber friendly and attentive. Location rocks - right on the Riverwalk. Just wish it had been warmer when we visited so we could have enjoyed the outdoor dining.
I took advantage of the $5 all-you-can-eat lunch special (coupon from timeshare) and had the Tues chicken fried chicken. Wasn't expecting much but hadn't bought groceries and needed to eat. Restaurant was not busy (nearly 2 pm) and noisy from construction downstairs but my nice waitress placed me in a relatively quiet spot. The plate consisted of a huge piece... More
I am not an expert on tex mex but my filet and shrimp dinner was good. My mom really enjoyed her pulled pork and she said her margarita was delicious. We sat upstairs overlooking the riverwalk and loved the view. Great chips and salsa too..have to order them but at 2.99 you can't go wrong. Ask for Jose...he was an... More
We were visiting San Antonio for a conference. We scheduled a dinner at Lone Star Cafe. The food was poor quality and was not worth the money! The only good thing from this place was our server Nicole! Too many good places .....run from this place!
We stopped in for lunch New Years Day! The place was busy, there were a lot of staff attending to customers, but we overheard on waiter asking for help due to a large table seated outside that were 'going to be difficult, they are demanding'. Our waitress was friendly and knew the menu, she went out of her way to... More
The Waitress was very friendly and timely! Food was just okay and we asked for chips and queso and were told no queso available just the cheese dip. The cheese dip came out looking like an orange frisbee. When attempting to eat the cheese dip it was like a fly trying to get out of a spider web. Very stringy,... More
