Found this place when a tour bus in San Antonio brought about 30 of us here to eat lunch. The tour guide knew what she was doing. This was a huge place and clearly catered to the tourist looking for a little bit of Mexico in Texas. The atmosphere was almost carnival - lights, papel picado ("perforated paper" is a... More

Had lunch here in September 2014. My colleague travels to San Antonio often for business and has visited here previously. We stopped for an early lunch and were fortunate to snag a prime parking spot - parking seems kind of tricky as this and surrounding places are very busy. The atmosphere is so unique. It is worth having a meal... More

My 1st visit was in the 1990's and they are still as delicious and lively as ever. We went twice on this trip! We took a couple for their 1st experience and they loved it. The live music, the extensive menu and the service make this a must in San Antonio!

When we think of San Antonio, we always think of Mi Tierra's. It's a great place to take out of state visitors to get a real taste of Texas. We like to walk around the nearby shops while waiting for our table to be ready. Their mole sauce is my favorite.

I was recommended to this establishment by the lady at the visitors center so I ended my river walk tour deliberately at the Market Square so we could enjoy small bites, lunch and beverages,. The dinng room had a wait so we ordered beverages in the bar. After a day of sightseeing I was ravishing hungry and ordered the Botana... More

One thing sticks with you after visiting this place, the decor. There is so much going on, you'll forget to look at the menu. Booths are small, but the intimacy is most welcome in this big restaurant. Service was good, and fast, even though the restaurant was packed. Oh, and the food was great too.

My family loves this restaurant. The food is good, the atmosphere is nice, and they have a fully stocked bakery! The area surrounding this restaurant has plenty to see and the margaritas look delicious!

Visiting San Antonio everyone said we had to go here ... The decor was extravagant but fun . The service was great , food was good but nothing special . The bakery had many traditional Tex/Mex pastries to choose from . Landmark restaurant in San Antonio.

Mi Tierra is a extravagantly over decorated Tex-Mex café and bakery in the Mercado area of San Antonio. For the last four years our family has made it a must when we visited. The staff has always accommodated our large party with fast and friendly service. The decorations in every room in the café with fascinate any child or adult... More
