Mi Tierra is located in the Market Square aka El Mercado aka the Mexican Market. It is 1 of 2 restaurants there (the other being Margarita's). We first visited the market on a Thursday and it was a bit disappointing...many of the shops were closed and the atmosphere was too quiet. A bit down because of that, we went into... More

I've read rave reviews about this place and tried to go their to eat several times but it was always very crowded and the wait was too long. This past Sunday we finally made it for an early lunch! I was so excited to try this place. The atmosphere is great. We sat in the mural room and it was... More

The food was served hot and fresh. The chips and hot sauce are wonderful and the atmosphere makes you feel like your in Mexico. There is a bar and bakery on site to enjoy before snd after the meal. The only thing I didnt like was the extra charge for tomatoes and cheese on the enchilada if you dont get... More

Authentic themed mexican restraunt. Food is good but overpriced. Not horribly overpriced but for a local its not in line with other places. Very touristy place that is a must for visitors to San Antonio.

After taking our visitors to the Alamo, Riverwalk, and the Mercado, we had dinner here. Our dinners were ok. My food was hardly warm, the beans were flavorless and the rice was actually cold. Two others food was lukewarm. The vodka tonics were minus the vodka. The margaritas were good. The mariachis were quite annoying. They must have asked us... More

MiTiera's is a must visit eatery in the ElMercado area of San Antonio's downtown. The food is dependably good no matter your choice. My favorite...green enchiladas. The atmosphere is that of a continual fiesta...colors, music and festive sights and sounds around every corner. Their bakery is phenomenal and always tempts me on the way out to bring home a variety... More

Its not a convenient place necessarily. Its a destination cafe, and part of the Market, so its a fun atmosphere to get a little "Old San Antonio" feel. The Mexican plates are excellent, and the Taco's are very tasty and they have been consistent on our numerous visits. Its a bit busy and noisy but that ads to the charm.... More

This restaurant is for tourists. The food is okay, but that's coming from someone who's a local and has multiple mom and pop places to choose from. Don't waste your money on the bakery. It's not very good. The sweet bread turns dry quickly and the cookies are made with too much shortening. It leaves an after taste in your... More
