The atmosphere is wonderful. The restaurant is situated within the San Antonio Mercado, where you find Mexican shops and entertainment during warm weather. I ate in the enclosed patio area, where you can see the passers-by walk by, and the food is absolutely delicious. I judge a restaurant on how well their home made tortillas are, and these are incredible.... More

We had a great time and a great meal at Mi Tierra last night. The quality food was a good part of that; we enjoyed excellent traditional Mexican dishes that included homemade tamales with gravy, which is pretty difficult to find any more. The guacamole salad was also excellent and served in a very generous portion. But it was Irma,... More

This restaurant is one of San Antonio's major attractions. It is situated in the downtown area where the signing of the Mexican Revolution was made. Presently, Market Square with all kinds of Mexican "artesanias" are sold along with this very popular restaurant. A couple of friend and I went on a Saturday afternoon. Of course it was very crowded. We... More

Lovely wood bar, excellent margaritas (I had prickly pear and pomegranate - YUM), good food, fun atmosphere. The restaurant is huge and [almost always] packed, but the bar is a great place to wait.

We visit San Antonio at least twice a year and the real motivation is always Mi Tierra. Good, hearty Mexican dishes are a rare find in any city. The full-fledged bakery is icing on the cake, and the tequila bar is just what you need to have fun in the city.

We go to this restaurant EVERY time we are in San Antonio!! It's a family favorite! The flamboyant decor, the mariachis, margaritas and food keep us coming back time and time again. Make sure to shop the market while there, too!

This was the highlight of the trip. The food here was absolutely delightful. I had a platter with various foods and it was really good. The flour tortillas are amazing. The service is good and the atmosphere is vibrant! The pastries...wow. Try Mi Tierra if ever in San Antonio.

This restaurant is a family favorite. We try to go there when in San Antonio. The children all enjoy the "party" like atmosphere as well as the food and bakery items. I like the fact that they are open 24hrs. Since we like eating late. They also have a full bar. Would definitely recommend it and if you ho during... More

Although the staff was friendly and the restaurant has character & wonderful murals, some of the pan dulce from the bakery was not good. The gingerbread pig wasn't spicy and had a sandy consistency (I didn't finish it) and my mother's pineapple cake roll slice didn't have much flavor. We decided not to go for a meal after this experience.
