I ate here after our last "hop off" of one of the hop-on/hop-off tours of San Antonio. We had to wait a while for our table but the three of us all found our food tasty, plentiful, and reasonably priced. Of course I had to buy a few items from the bakery before leaving too. I grew up in San Antonio and ate here several times a year my entire life. Having moved to California and around I had not returned in years. When I brought my kids here to eat it was just not the same. The quality of the food was not like it use to be and the atmosphere had become pretty... More

We had a late lunch here after getting off the trolley car and touring the market square. The bakery is probably even better known than the cafe but the whole place is a happy experience. I ordered the ribeye steak and enchilada meal along with a Corona. I was very satisfied with the entire meal and the service. My better... More

This place was recommended by the hop on hop off driver. I'm always a little skeptical of those recommendations but what I found inside were a number of locals waiting 45 min for a table at the restaurant and about a half hour in line at the bakery. Had to give it a try. After a few recommendations from people... More

A fun place to visit a little bit of Mexico. The market place as a whole is fun and enchanting, Mi Tierra just tops it off! Having lived here in SA, this is one place we always take our friends and family. Have a sangria, sit back and ENJOY!

We were visiting San Antonio and read many good things about this place. We wanted to check it out especially because of the atmosphere. Our waitress was very rude and never came back once to ask us for refills or how our food was. We waited half an hour and still she never returned. We began walking towards the front... More

If you are looking for your traditional South Texas mexican food, this is the place to go! I swear my grandmother was in the kitchen cooking the food! That's how good the food is. Get ready to enjoy some great mexican food!

This is a great place for Mexican food in San Antonio. It's a large, old building, a family-run business with plenty of restaurant space, including outside seating, plus a Mariachi bar, as well as a superb bakery section offering sweet and savoury food, plus strolling Mariachi players, who will play your song choices if you ask them, but remember to... We ordered 2 plates, enchilades Verdes with rice and refried beans and Tacos Del Mercado (1) beef fajita (1) carne asada flour tacos served with charro beans, guacamole and pico de gallo. Also one flour chorizo and egg taco. Everything was good.
