Try Pericos again, you will like it

Having been to this restaurant over the past several years we had enjoyed its food greatly early on, then it seemed they lost their edge. Trying it again was a nice surprise. The salsa for the chips is served warm, which I really like. My wife immediately said the salsa has been straightened out... read more

This is authentic Mexican food! Tortillas taste home made. Enchiladas, rice and beans are the best. The service is very good and the prices are very reasonable. It is a large enough restaurant where you can visit and not feel rushed to leave. Great experience. You will not be dissapointed.

The women in our family went to town (San Antonio) to eat at Pericos. My husband asked how was the food? Honestly it didn't make an impression either way. The food didn't stand out at all. Usually a restaurant has something that stands out either the salsa, enchiladas or the fajitas etc. nothing was outstanding not even the aroma. I... More

This is a place I go every time I go back to San Antonio. It's close to where I grew up and happens to be a great meet up with old friends and family. Most days I go outside to the patio, soak up the sun and enjoy margaritas! During HH and certain days, you can get $2.50 margaritas (frozen... More

Better than average Mexican cuisine. Big seating area with good selections of tex-mex fare that includes old favorites that mom cooked while growing up. Great service.

Went with daughter and son-in-law for early dinner. I had a grilled chicken salad. Chicken was good, but greens were soggy. Portions were ample. Dressing was bland. Think we like this place better for breakfast.

Went to Period for about the tenth time and everything tasted great as usual. The chili queso is a great starter but leave room for the meal. This time I had the steak tempequehana and it was tender..juicy and full of flavor. The prices are low so I usually get a different meal to go also. One of my favorite... More

We arrived to a not so full waiting area and told it would be a 20 minute wait. Finally got seated after 2 families that arrived after Us were sat (disorganized hostess area). The restaurant was crowded with tables (could barely walk), floors and bathroom were very dirty. Food was good. Next time I'll stick with the stone oak location... More

Mostly due to its proximity to my in-laws, we usually go to this restaurant over its Panchito's affiliate downtown, though we prefer Panchito's. We tend to go once or twice every visit to get our tex-mex cravings fed. We've gone for breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. Breakfast has your standard tacos and other breakfast items you can find at most... More
