We had a 645 pm reservation and the patio was already packed. We had asked to eat inside which wS soon crowded after we sat down. Has Tex Mex items but a wider menu. I had Poquito de Todo, a Little of Everything. It came on two large plates and included a taco with chopped fajita beef, a cheese... read more

After checking the reviews on several sites I decided to try El Mirasol for lunch. I ordered chicken enchiladas with a cream poblano sauce. I twas terrible. The chicken had no taste and was tough which is hard to do when it is shredded. The sauce was watery and runny. The chips were stale. The salsa was good. The service... More

Forget tex-mex, this is the real deal! I have been to countless Mexican restaurants over my lifetime, and this easily rates in the top 5. In addition, the staff was friendly and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.

We come here once a week, it's so delicious. We love this place and the service is impeccable. The margaritas are pricey but DEF WORTH the price! I can't drink more than one. Come and enjoy!

This is our second visit to this restaurant. It is authentic Mexican, a change from the Tex-Mex restaurants we normally frequent. Not better than Tex-Mex; just different. It is on southbound Blanco road, and easy to miss. Look for the sign because the restaurant itself is set back from the road. It shares a smallish parking lot with other business... More

We have been eating here for a few years and have never been disappointed. The roasted salsa and chips are the best. The service is good and if they are a little slow no big deal I'm there to relax and enjoy the food

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants on the north side of San Antonio. The salsa is both delicious and unique, as it contains no onions. I have been eating here for many years and have always been happy with the quality of food and great service. The owner's father established the famous La Fogata restaurant, and this eatery... More

I have to disagree with most of the other reviews of this place. Went here due to the number of great reviews this place has received. While the service was great, I just can't get too excited about the food, which to me I'd rate as fairly average tex mex fare in San Antonio. I had the shrimp enchildas which... More

El Mirasol is consistently excellent! I have tried many dishes there and never been disappointed. Some of my favorites would be the tacos nortenos, fish OR shrimp tacos, stuffed poblano pepper, fiesta nachos, verdes enchiladas... The Iist goes on and on. The drinks.... BOOM!!! Try the chispas drink.... Wow!!!! We keep going back to this place time and time again!... More

We moved to San Antonio two years ago to a home very near El Mirasol. So naturally we just recently ate there for the first time. We wasted a lot of time. El Mirasol is one of the finest Mexican restaurants anywhere, not just in San Antonio. The restaurant is not formal, but very nice and sets the stage well... More
