This is one of the best Mexican restaurants on the north side of San Antonio. The salsa is both delicious and unique, as it contains no onions. I have been eating here for many years and have always been happy with the quality of food and great service. The owner's father established the famous La Fogata restaurant, and this eatery... More

I have to disagree with most of the other reviews of this place. Went here due to the number of great reviews this place has received. While the service was great, I just can't get too excited about the food, which to me I'd rate as fairly average tex mex fare in San Antonio. I had the shrimp enchildas which... More

El Mirasol is consistently excellent! I have tried many dishes there and never been disappointed. Some of my favorites would be the tacos nortenos, fish OR shrimp tacos, stuffed poblano pepper, fiesta nachos, verdes enchiladas... The Iist goes on and on. The drinks.... BOOM!!! Try the chispas drink.... Wow!!!! We keep going back to this place time and time again!... More

We moved to San Antonio two years ago to a home very near El Mirasol. So naturally we just recently ate there for the first time. We wasted a lot of time. El Mirasol is one of the finest Mexican restaurants anywhere, not just in San Antonio. The restaurant is not formal, but very nice and sets the stage well... More

Since it is close to our house, we go hear a number of times per month. Place is always busy and parking can be difficult; however, the food is always consistently good.

This is our favorite restaurant in San Antonio hands down. My wife and I have been going here for years and when we have family and friends visit us from out of town they always ask if we can go to El Mirasol. The food is fantastic and is extremely consistant. My favorite plate is the Un Pequito De Todo.... More

Husband and I went for anniversary meal. The chispa margarita was amazing- clean, tasty refreshing. Tried the chispa margarita with midori- even more amazing! Husband had the house margarita , decent but the chispa so much better. The food was good. Had the enchiladas Americanos- a nice variety of three flavors with nice presentation.Husband had tacos nortenos and was disappointed,... More

I love eating out and live in Manhattan. My family has moved from Southern CA. to San Antonio. I visit twice a year and since the Stone Cactus on the Riverwalk has fallen to pieces, I hadn't found a really great Mexican Restaurant, until Mirasol. Great service, inventive yet authentically flavored dishes and a great price. It makes me happy.

This place was a nice surprise. Enjoyed the atmosphere, the attention from the staff & wonderful food. My husband had the Chile Poblano Al Carbon & raved about it. I really liked their 'cafe maya' too. We arrived shortly after 5 pm & tables filled up quickly by about 6. Would recommend highly!
