This place was a nice surprise. Enjoyed the atmosphere, the attention from the staff & wonderful food. My husband had the Chile Poblano Al Carbon & raved about it. I really liked their 'cafe maya' too. We arrived shortly after 5 pm & tables filled up quickly by about 6. Would recommend highly!

I had read several previous reviews and was somewhat skeptical about this restaurant but after dinning there I was very pleasantly surprised. I was with a large group celebrating a birthday. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The staff was very helpful and were very eager to please. The food was not Texmex which you usually find in San... More

The restaurant was very busy on a Thursday night which was a good sign. Ordered the seafood enchilada with a wine lobster sauce and was very tasty. My wife got a snapper dish with a tomato sauce that she also enjoyed. Maybe a tad pricey, especially the drinks but enjoyed the experience.

Travelers willing to venture of the Riverwalk to North Central San Antonio will find a real treat at El Mirasol. The Mexican dishes are unusual and quite tasty. They taco list includes cabrito and al pastor, among others. A wide variety of enchiladas are available. My favorite is Enchiladas Mirasol, three enchiladas, each different from the other. On the lighter... More

Stopped by this gem for a dinner during my family vacation. The food was wonderful. We had the fajitas and enchiladas Veracruz. Everything was well prepared and well presented. The service extremely good. Our glasses never went empty and chips and salsa constantly refilled. This is a great little mexican diner for a cocktail and good food. I would really... More

Outstounding food and Margharitas, inclusive atmosphere and caring and attentive staff. I make sure to visit every time I am in San Anfonio. LOVE this restaurant. Don't miss the tacos Nortenos or fresh/smashed guacamole.

$9 house margarita (rot-gut) - No happy hour. Minus one star. Overly expensive food. There's no reason this mediocre food should cost so much...except to come across at pretentious. Minus one star. Bland, uninspired dry chicken with no seasonings used as stuffing in the enchiladas and flautas. Portions are small. We had larger portions and better tasting food at a... More

I love this restaurant. The food is very good and three wait staff are very good as well. I have the shrimp Mirasol. The sauce is very good too. Sit outside and enjoy the weather. Just hope Blanco isn't busy so the traffic noise isn't bad.

We dined at El Mirasol while in town for Fiesta. Please note that if you're staying on the Riverwalk, this restuarant is about 25 minutes ($48 cab fare one way) away. Have the premium margarita; the best we've had anywhere. The menu is extensive and features numerous sauces; not only did our waitress do a great job of describing them... More

I was surprised to see the number of people there on a Thursday evening since I don't know of anyone who wants to meet at the restaurant anymore. It had been some time since my last visit but I remembered being impressed by their margaritas, which I ordered this time. It was way over-priced and not nearly as good as... More
