If you want good quality food you won't be disappointed.

We stopped by for our Oyster fix and left very happy :) We chose to sit at the bar for the oysters on the half shell and the cold beer. The service we received was excellent. The bartenders work well together and were quick to serve. The beer was so cold. And the oysters were delicious. The Blue... read more

Probably the best seafood restaurant in the city. We have never had a bad meal there. The only downside is that it's hard to get into most of the time. Absolutely get the alligator it's excellent!!!!

Been here several times and always had a great lunch or dinner. Service is excellent. Very good wine or mixed drinks are served. A little noisy but still a good atmosphere. Parking is always crowded, so allow extra time to find a parking space, especially on the weekends. Recommend this restaurant.

Shrimp, shrimp and more shrimp. Although it does not have to be shrimp it could be anything. The meals served here are always good and everything seems to be good on the menu! I especially enjoy the shrimp po-boy sandwich. Excellent food, excellent service, not so excellent prices. Although, you get what you pay for! A must stop if in... More

Just a short 5 minute wait for a table during lunch hour on a Tuesday. Quick drink order with Derek and Mike brought a minute later. Husband really enjoyed his oysters and creme brulee. I had the lunch time chicken pasta and it was tasty. It was a large portion so unable to eat all of it. Good service from... More

I visit San Antonio at least once a year and am usually there four nights. Of those nights, I always go to Pappadeaux at least twice and once ate there three nights out of four. The oysters are the best deal anywhere, and the menu is so varied that it is easy to find something totally different each time I... More

First, I love the place. I grew up in Louisiana and love hot and spicey food. The only problem is almost everything is spicey and the wife and kids often find it too much. I recommend the soft shelled crab. One of the few places you can get one in San Antonio. Also great red beans and rice, another favorite.... More

The consistency of Pappadeaux is incredible. The fish is always fresh and wonderfully prepared. The oysters, raw or as heated appetizers are spot on and they pour a mean drink. We never have and never will complain when anyone recommends a meal.

Crowed but still had decent service. Good food. Oyster special for dozen was $1 more than 6. Good not great oysters. Did soft shell crabs with dirty rice and it was very nice. Overall a good experience.
