My wife and I visited San Antonio recently and decided to have dinner at Acenar based on a recommendation from the Concierge at the Westin. We were absolutely not disappointed. The meal was excellent (I had the Baby Goat...Yummy) and, equally important, the service was awesome! Our waiter, Julio, was personable, helpful and an absolute pleasure. He took the time... More

Spouse had a duck chalupa and thought it was fantastic. I had a chicken and it was very good. Had table-side guac and it was very good. Atmosphere modern and upbeat. Has a patio that is lovely. There are lots of stairs, but there is a lift that one of our party used. Service excellent. Not your "usual" mexican food.

So many touristy places on the river walk, this place a step up. Fun atmosphere, there was nothing bad on the menu.....try the marinated steak on a stick, awesome!

A friend of mine suggested this location which was located off the main Riverwalk, but still on the Riverwalk to enjoy. Mariachi band played on the outside deck to our delight. Food was great, service was very good with reasonable pricing. Left with a satisfied feeling. Since this visit, stopped back 2 other times and different times of day with... More

Just returned from dinner at ACENAR with the wife while vacationing in San Antonio. My wife had the diablo spicy shrimp, I had the duck crepes and we shared the lettuce wraps as an appetizer. All were recommended (upon our request) by an attentive waiter named Gus (thank you Gus). The food was very good as well as the margaritas.... More

We had grilled shrimp tacos and oyster tacos. The restaurant is located on the riverwalk and is a great place to kick back and enjoy excellent food and a couple of drinks.

Some friends and I ate lunch here on March 14, 2014. We were seated quickly and were waited on by Raymond who went above and beyond in service and friendliness. He offered to bring us samples of sauces when we asked what they were and did. The meals were wonderful! Everyone loved what they had, it ranged from chaulupas to... More

My family and I ate dinner here March 19, 2014. We were promptly greeted and seated without reservation. The server, whose name escapes me, quickly appeared from thin air and took our drink order. The drinks arrived astonishingly quickly considering how busy the restaurant seemed. For an appetizer we ordered Fried oysters and shrimp tacos. For dinner, I ordered the... More
