This place was recommended to us. But when we showed up, we were working on the cups of Starbucks we had just bought one block away. She refused to seat us until we finished our "outside drinks". We left and went to one of their competitors. Nice way to lose customers and a paying table.

Dining alone for a change, I had a culinary adventure here. It started with a jalapeno margarita, rimmed with chili powder. Amazing. The salsa here was so good, I could have made a meal of just that and chips. I believe it was chipotle. The perfect meal was the crusty, delicate, fresh oyster appetizer and a wonderfully spicy tortilla soup.... More

This modern contemporary restaurant has a detailed menu and lots of choices. The guacamole made at our table was of course fresh and tasty. Our hotel concierge had recommended the crab tacos and we were not disappointed. Really great food.

We spent 2 days in San Antonio and ate dinner here both nights since our experience the first night was so good. Excellent Tex-Mex and the service was top notch too. We sat outside on the river balcony and the trees and boats were decorated beautifully with Christmas lights. Make sure you try the caramel crepes for dessert- you won't... More

This delightful restaurant is a little off of the main part of the Riverwalk but it's a must! Very friendly wait staff. Ask for Francisco if you can but they are all wonderful. Great food. They have a queso with chorizo that's to die for and their enchiladas are amazing!

Before I get into the review - the service was fantastic. My server was very attentive and made several recommendations as to what I should sample from their cocktail specialties, as well as the dinner offerings. This is the only plus I found here. The entree was mediocre. I had the Cochinita Pibil, as it's a favorite of mine and... More

This was an easy walk around the corner from Embassy Suites, with entry from the upper or lower level of the Riverwalk. We were informed that the only available seating was inside, which we didn't mind. The only downside to inside seating is it can get very loud and noisy as it is a small enclosed space and the sounds... More

We arrived the day of San Antonio 's Christmas parade on the river walk and made reservations here so we could view the parade as it passed by. A buffet of Mexican dishes was served and everything was tasty. The waiters were friendly and the atmosphere was fun. A lovely evening and I would recommend the food.

There is a wealth of Mexican food in San Antonio, but if you are looking for a restaurant that is a bit more upscale, then choose Acenar. There is a vibrant bar area and an area for groups. I was at Acenar for a group function where a variety of salsas and guacamole was served with fresh chips. There was... More

The food was very good as was the service. The menu had great variety and the tableside guacamole was a nice touch.
