I don't normally eat at places like this but the chicken was so good I decided to go back. It was good again. Staff friendly. Tom good tea. We

We stopped in not really knowing... the outside appearance is somewhat questionable.... However the food makes up for any short comings. We had the Ribs, smoked sausage, and pulled pork. All was very good and I would recommend when driving through. I will return, because you know what you are eating, not like other barbecue places that cover up questionable... More

I had brisket and sausage with the sweet corn and pinto beans. My kind of food! Wife had brisket sweet corn, pintos and potato salad. You order by the pound or in the case of sausage by the link or half link. As you go through line to order they have tubs of beverages in ice or you can get... More

The brisket is always tender and flavorful. The sausage links are very good. I always have to have the corn, but I add lots of pepper to it. The turkey is moist. The pinto beans are nothing special. They are very generous with the bread. I've eaten here many times, and it is always good. There are community tables where... More

Really liked the "Creamed Corn!" & Rudy's Beans. The brisket was somewhat dry but tasty - more like a roast than a brisket. Ribs were peppery and tender. Decent bbq. Unique atmosphere!

I recently hosted an event for 50 international executives and had Rudy's cater the BBQ. The guys loved it! We ordered pretty much lots of everything. Ribs, brisket, sausage, turkey, chicken, gallons of creamed corn, potato salad and beans. Everything was gone by the time the last guest went through the line. I'm not that partial to their sauce, so... More

This chain is spreading around Texas and all locations serve similar good BBQ. I find that atmosphere affects the meal and Leon Springs, being the original and more authentic location, certainly provides me the best flavors. Reading the reviews I see that some do not like it, which goes to prove that even within a food style, tastes and preferences... More

We had the brisket, baby back ribs and chicken - all excellent choices. And, their sides are delicious. The focus is on good food, not on the dining experience. If you want good BBQ, we recommend Rudy's.

My husband wanted to try the original Rudy's in Leon Springs, so we fought the terrible San Antonio traffic to try this location. First of all, the staff was very nice. The brisket was not very good (way too dry) and the sausage was OK. The cream corn was the one item on the menu that was outstanding.
