A good way to find excellent restaurants while traveling is to ask the locals. When I was on an airplane on my way to a conference in San Antonio, I had a nice conversation with a lady who lived in the area. She recommended that I try the pork tips in sauce at Rosario's. The restaurant is an easy 1-mile... More

This is one of the best mexican foods that I have had in a long time! Order a bowl of queso, extremely good! Our 3 yr old was trying to spoon eat the queso b/c it was so good. My husband ordered some type of tacos w/ cabbage and cheese on them. When reading the information of what he was... More

Take a short 5.00 cab ride from the Riverwalk to Rosario's and be ready for some great food! Every local knows were Rosario's is, because they all eat here! Wait time is usually 15 min, and they have a very large and comfortable waiting area next to the bar. Perfect time to order one of Rosario's famous hand shaken margaritas... More

Enjoyed a leisurely lunch w of THE BEST chips & salsa, followed by inventive enchiladas Mexicano. Attentive service. Your best bet somewhat near River Walk .

The food is well worth the little wait time to be seated. The food is awesome. And the wait staff are beyond compare. We had a great time. Good food and nice ambiance.

Try the new Rosario's location at 9715 San Pedro Ave! The best cerviche I have ever had! The atmosphere is very different from the one downtown, so we will continue to frequent both locations! Their vegetable dishes are unique and delicious. The more traditional dishes are fresh and very authentic. Both times we have been, the bar service was a... More

I was in San Antonio for a conference, and we asked a local for a recommendation to avoid "tourist" Mexican food. Rosario's was a hit with the whole group! The atmosphere was fun and energetic. Bar service was ok, although they were a little too eager to bus the tables and took a beer that was more than half full.... More

This neighborhood charmer was right around the corner from our b&b. It has a funku nuevo feel. The bar menu was great. The waiter talked me in "The Fruit Cup." The drink was refreshing witgouy being too sweet. The table next to us was raving about the ceviche, so we tried it. Oh. My. God. - Get it! I would... More

A bit out of way from the River Walk, but better than average TexMex, very reasonable prices (especially compared to River Walk), very good and friendly service.
