We tried to get into one of the restaurants in El Mercado but there was over a one hour wait. We were with a number of friends and one suggested Rosario's for a large group. It is just south of downtown on the edge of the King Williams area. Parking was a bit of a challenge but it was well... More

In town for a conference so read reviews and settled on Rosario's for lunch. Enchiladas en salsa verde (my standard) was good, but tortilla soup was excellent. Margarita was good but a little expensive for size. Service fine and enjoyed the funky, casual feel of the place. Came back for dinner a few nights later on a Saturday and was... More

We went there for lunch with friends. Even though the place was huge, and it was far from tourist season, we still had a short wait, so it is very popular. The decor is pretty typical Tex Mex, as is the food. Chips and salsa were served pretty promptly....the salsa had a ncie smoky flavor. We ordered chicken and shrimp... More

this restaurant was highly recommended by a local as the best Mexican food in SA. It was pretty good. I had a chili rennio and a top shelf margarita. The atmosphere was loud and busy but that's what you expect at a great Mexican food restaurant.

Okay, but not stellar. Avoid the over-priced and tiny "special" Mexican Handshake Margarita. Service was slow. Ok, it was a Friday night, but it seemed longer than usual between being seated and someone greeting/bring chips & water/taking a drink order.

Try the pan seared peppers as an appetizer, excellent. All the food was good and the waiters were friendly. Rosario's is a little something different, and that makes it fun.

Rosario's is a powerhouse in the busy restaurant scene in San Antonio. The Presa street location is at the center of the King William district in town, the Bohemian part of downtown and my favorite first Friday of the month hangout. The food is a delicate blend of Tex-Mex with original San Antonio modern cuisine and it turns out as... More
