This is a great place to go for a kids special occasion, fun costumed waitstaff stay in character, bring silly named bubbling drinks that make them laugh and have about a million ways to sing happy birthday! It's been around for a long long long time, it has fun themed booths you can sit in and a vintage car that... More

Our 33 yr old daughter, her husband and 4 yr old son and the two of us had a great time. The food was good, the service was super and everyone enjoyed the restaurant, especially our 4 yr old Grandson.

Besides the waitress walking around in characters, the salad bar in a car and your table most likely being in a time machine capsule, this place is creepy, dark and gloomy. Then came the food. We ordered spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer and weve never had worse. Food presentation is nice but taste is not. Food is also very pricey... More

We arrived here after having eaten at the one in Dallas, when I was a kid. We walked through the restaurant, and the place was very ditry and delapidated, the booths smelled of various odors, and were seated at a tiny, poorly situated booth facing a dark wall. The placwment was cramped and almost luke a small pit decorated in... More

I grew up visiting The Magic Time Machine and was hoping the experience would be as fun for my family years later. We were not disappointed! My kids loved their bubbling magic potion drinks. The salad bar in a car was a hit, too! We were served by Ace Ventura and Tinkerbell. The magic potion for washing hands at the... More

We loved the magictime machine. The servers were in character the entire time and the meal was good with generous portions!

The Magic Time Machine is a fun place to go for an informal dinner, especially if children are involved. The wait staff dresses in-character (movie and cartoon characters) and provides an entertaining atmosphere that's fun for all but particularly for kids. Most of the food is pretty average casual fare although the Prime Rib is usually pretty good. The soup... More

I have been going to MTM since it opened in 1973. The last 3-4 years the food quality and options have declined. The service is very good and geared towards entertaining the kids, which is great since the entire theme of the restaurant is all about children. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the building is poor. The carpets need replacing, the... More

Warmly greeted, we dined in the library, and our server was Pippy Longstocking. My son is somewhat shy when he meets new people and we took him here without knowing what to expect or what the restaurant had to offer. :D She was great at making him feel comfortable enough to loosen up and enjoy the atmosphere. The food like... More

We've been to the Magic Time Machine a few times in the past 25 years (even the one that was in Austin). We've always enjoyed the atmosphere, decorations, and waitresses and waiters in costume. Kids seem to really have fun with it, and we observed that on this trip, too. Not having been there in a few years, we didn't... More
