Good Food in Nice Setting

We Texans judge our Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants initially by two things: chips and sauza and margaritas. This restaurant passes both tests. Chips were ok. They served two sauzas; a slightly smoky/spicy and a tomatoey/mild sauza. I liked the smoky/spicy one. The traditional margarita (rocks... read more

We visit San Antonio once a year. We usually eat at Henry's Puffy Tacos, but this time we wanted to try another restuarant. After careful researching reviews, I found this place. It was well worth my time, it was amazing delicious. I had the chiles rellenos they came with side of beans and rice. The beans and rice amazingly good.... More

An excellent Margarita, with salt, on the rocks. The appetizer was chicken nachos with guacamole; nice flavor and texture. Asked for and received the spicier salsa to go with my dinner, a nice meal of traditional beef enchiladas, rice and beans. The ground beef was littered with small potato pieces, technically "Piccadillo" in some areas of the country. Excellent flavor.... More

This place always seems like a party. you can meet friends and enjoy the patio on a nice day. I love the shrimp quesadilla. Paloma Blanca has the best salsa. They bring 2 kinds of salsa to the table, I like the roasted salsa best. You can call in an order and pick it up in the back.

This was my first time going. We were in town for a conference and we went by chance. The food was delicious and the service was really good. I will definitely be going again!

This is just around the corner for our family and we are here a few times a month. The restaurant is usually busy but rarely is there a wait. In the spring and fall tables on the patio are the first to go and are quite enjoyable. Try the skinny margarita or the frozen house marg. The enchiladas are excellent... More

Friends, residents of San Antonio, selected Paloma Blanca to celebrate our long standing friendship...GREAT CHOICE! Festive decor with topical plants and fountain greeted us. Starting with amazing margaritas, we watched Adan, our server, prepare guacamole olmeca to order ($11.95). We all agreed on the Enchiladas '09 split plate; servings are huge ($31.90 plus $6.00 fee to split). Our dessert, Bunuelo... More

Ate dinner at Paloma Blanca tonight. Service was excellent...prompt, courteous and timely....everything at the right time like they have done it more than once! The food was excellent..not the over fried, heavy fare typically encountered at most Mexican/Tex Mex establishments. Had chili rellenos and enchiladas. The Chili came with a cilantro sauce that was very good, maybe extremely good would... More

The menu is quite comprehensive, lots of choices..almost too many. I sometimes prefer an eatery to simplify the menu and just make the meal impressive and memorable. Paloma Blanca did not disappoint. The chips and salsa were very good starters. I was equally impressed with my meal. A simple chicken fajita dish that was very tasty. My one complaint is... More
