We were sort of pressed for time because we were headed to see a play. Neither of us were straving so we asked to split the special of the evening. Service was fast and friendly. The Salmon was perfectly cooked; warm and flaky. It came sitting on top of mashed potatoes and whole green beans. The presentation was pleasing and... More

This restaurant is only steps away from the Majestic Theater main entrance. Great "people watching" location even if you aren't headed to the Majestic! Directly across the street from the Sheraton Gunter Hotel. This restaurant does not serve liquor; only beer and wine. We arrived 630pm without reservations as we were headed to the Majestic Theater for an 8pm show.... More

Food was Great!.. service very good. The dessert was a very nice creme brulleé. The place is a warm bistro. The restrooms could be better. But definitely we would visit it again!

...is usually rather pleasing. Relatively speaking, it's in a nook! It's a nook to me. A nook. One I highly recommend. I'm always visiting from the D.F., 32 million people, or over from Asia, 8-20 million people, depending on my location, and I always see it as the perfect escape. I love the modern setting, sandwiches, drinks and proximity to... More

we were staying at the Gunter and decided to try Houston's. Walking in we were greeted promptly and seated at a great table by the window. It appeared a lot of locals frequent the place. We ordered a salmon salad which was wonderful. We will return on our next SA visit with fiends. Very reasonably priced.

We've dined here a few times, usually pre-theater/concert as they are close to Majestic and are known to get you in and fed in time for your show. Service is attentive and very professional. They consistently do well with both seafood and steaks and have tasty preparations / sauces with dishes named after popular composers and Broadway shows. Their pre-theater... More
