Actually I have been there for meals other than Sunday Brunch, however it is exceptional then. They have an excellent kitchen and receipies are remarkable. Plating is OK. The menu is pretty traditional for brunches, featuring crab cake egg benedict and other delicious picks. Portions are large; fair warning. Both indoor & outdoor seating and there is an upstairs dining... More

Our first visit here was to celebrate our 2 "twenty-something" daughters birthdays. We were seated outside which was a beautiful setting and the weather was great! Our server was very attentive and the food was some of the best we've had. The Mustang Chicken, Paella and the Shrimp Nachos were all fantastic! Next time we're visiting our daughter in San... More

Four of us met for a professional lunch to discuss business at Cappy’s in early April week. We made reservations and were promptly seated inside. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable but he didn’t pick up that we were on a business lunch; we had to request to place our order. The food was well-prepared. Everyone in our group had... More

We are trying all different kinds of eateries and had read great reviews on Cappy's. We weren't disappointed. When we walked in it felt so cosy, loved the art work on the walls and the seating was perfectly placed so you couldn't hear everyone else's conversations. The drinks were good, the food scrumptious and the waiter (Len) was very attentive.... More

Heard this place was the 3rd best place in San Antonio so had my expectations set kinda high. Was a little disappointed with the service. Not as attentitive as they should of been. Food was good but didn't have many options to choose from. For me once is plenty of times going there.

First time to Cappy's, and we were quite pleased. The patio is a pleasant oasis, shaded by oaks, and hidden from the street. I had the tenderloin, my wife had the lamb, and our friend had the snapper. My wife said her lamb was a bit gamey, but otherwise we were all very pleased. The service was excellent, and the... More

I was a little hesitant to try this restaurant simply because trip advisor recommended it on their 3 day tour of San Antonio suggestion, only because I thought it was maybe a tourist trap type of restaurant. Well, I was wrong. The food was excellent, great atmosphere, we sat out on the patio. The nacho's were excellent, I had the... More

We happened upon Cappy's last week when we were in San Antonio for our son's graduation from Air Force Basic Military Training, based upon ratings from Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. Our server, Michael was very informative and helpful guiding us through our decisions. It wasn't easy - so many wonderful choices! Everything, including the breads and desserts are... More

Four of us ate at Cappy's on a warm march evening (3/15) on the outdoor patio. Our server Falcon (not kidding, that was his name) was attentive without being obsequious and made excellent recommendations. We started with barbecued oysters (sublime) and fried shrimp and Brussels sprouts (a surprising combination that worked) followed by salads that were crisp, fresh and a... More
