My husband booked a reservation for us for our 5th anniversary. I've never been to Cappy's before, and overall, I found it to be very enjoyable. Regardless of the occasion, I'm always down for a good burger and mac and cheese lol. Cappy's did not disappoint. The Burger was great, and so was my hubby's chicken dish. The mac and... More

I reserved a table for a birthday brunch with my wife. When we arrived they seated us almost immediately at one of the nicest spots in their restaurant. Our server Alex was extremly knowledgeable, pleasant and effective. The menu offers an excellent choice for a brunch. My wife enjoyed the poached eggs with blue crab and hollandaise, while the specials... More

It didn't knock my socks off like other reviews would have you believe, but the food was quite good. We ordered the cobb salad, fried shrimp platter and the burger and all were all delicious. The atmosphere is casual and the service is friendly. If you are visiting the McNay or Witte Museums, it is close to both.

Ask for Daniel. Great guy! Food was fantastic. From the Seafood Gumbo to the specialty Eggs Benedict, just delicious. Just one thing, hostess did not greet us in a friendly way. Will come back.

Six hours later and I am still thinking what a terrific Sunday Brunch I consumed. Two poached eggs on a bed of spinach, artichoke hearts and brie (I am allergic to wheat so no english muffin for me), plus potatoes perfectly browned, a wedge of watermelon and fresh strawberries. Yum! Our server, Raul, was attentive but never hovering. It was... More

We are locals and continue to love coming to Cappy's, especially to see what is offered during Sunday brunch. Superb service, and we mean superb. No one else in San Antonio exerts more effort to provide the best dining experience. While many menu items are great, you can absolutely never go wrong with the fish entree. Prompt service considering the... More

We've been coming to Cappy's four or five times a year for the past 30 years. The food and service have been consistently great. They don't try to be fancy and I appreciate that

The place is nice and cozy. We new that it would be a good restaurant due to all tables occupied in a rainy day. The service is very good! The only frustrating thing was the oyster. They served us six little bitty oysters, the smallest I've ever seen. We complained about it and they told us that those were the... More

I recently took my boss and a group of colleagues to Cappy's for a business dinner. We were a party of 10 and I was the only one in the group familiar with the area. Most people on the trip were interested in a decent seafood/steakhouse. Cappy's definitely fit the bill. My boss travels frequently and commented that the evening... More
