While visiting San Antonio on business over the past week, I visited this little restaurant on four occasions. Located downstairs in the Hilton Palacio del Rio, it serves a wonderful Sunday brunch offering both a la carte and buffet dishes as well as a nice selection for lunch and dinner. The menu offers a number of Tex Mex favorites. The... More

I was in San Antonio on business the week of May 21, 2014, My husband joined me from Houston to celebrate my birthday. We were staying at Hilton Palacio Del Rio, (something we never do) is order desert to our room. It was 10pm, Pilar deliveried our desert (evening snack) we mentioned it was my birthday. Pilar, excused herself, and... More

This was my first time to experience the essence of what is this great patio bar. Being along the Riverwalk, access is easy, allowing you to sit outside and enjoy food and drink. HOWEVER, if you go inside, and Keith is playing the piano, be prepared to laugh, sing, and get into the spirit of this establishment. Michael was our... More

On a chilly evening we asked for an inside table near the window and were seated at the end of the room with a lovely view of the river. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive and we had a very pleasant and tasty dinner. The homemade guacamole was particularly good, the house red good value. River's Edge is at the... More

I ate here twice during a recent stay in San Antonio. I was dining alone so the atmosphere was as important to me as the food. I would rate my lunchtime experience a 5 and my dinnertime experience a 2.5. 1 - I had a lovely (4pm) lunch here when I first arrived in the city. The service was great... More

I was staying at the Hilton, so this was convenient on the way to a conference along the Riverwalk. Sparsely populated, apparently for good reason. Unfortunately the irrigation barge was parked directly across on the river with the compressor running the whole time such that one could barely talk at the table. Prices are what one would expect at the... More

We had a group of over 30 people celebrating Fiesta and sat at the outdoor tables. Our server DENISE took care of a majority of the people and COULD not have been more efficient but most of all HER pleasant smile and efficiency were contagious. Although the food is ok, she made the evening very special. As a new member... More

The location is hard to beat and the food is really good, but what my wife and I enjoyed the most about our experience was our server Marcelo. He was professional, courteous and extremely kind. Simply put, he would be the main reason that we would go back. If you have the pleasure of staying at the Hilton or just... More

I had a frozen peach margarita and it was huge. I could not have had two of those things as one had quite a bit of alcohol in it. We didn't eat any food so cannot comment on that. Our waiter was attentive after we informed the staff that we had just sat down at a table. Nice location, atmosphere... More
