Good burger's in the Pearl District

We had lunch here on a Tuesday. It was late in the lunch hour, but the place was still busy. The service was good and the food came to the table pretty fast. It's an "order and the counter" and "seat yourself" kind of place. The burgers were very good. A burger special which includes fries and a... read more

Got the regular burger. It was pretty dry. Not served with mustard or mayo. Not available on tables or condiment area. Small inside seating area. Fries and sweet potato fries were good. Good atmosphere. Fun place overall but not on the top of the list of places to try again

Sam's burgers, fries and onion rings are to die for, although there are healthier choices, too. The casual atmosphere and quick preparation of food makes this the perfect spot to eat before their on-site concerts.

If you just want some good ole fashioned burger goodness, this is your place. Fun atmosphere, good food nice people. Nothing fancy, just someplace where you can show up in a pair of cutoffs and t-shirt and be comfortable.

I came here after unsuccessfully trying to get to the Granary (separate review) and it was right around the corner. Nothing complicated about the menu, I ordered and got a real good burger. They are made to order so while you feel like you have to wait, it is only 5-10 minutes if they are busy and they are worth... More

As one of the solid places in San Antonio to listen to live music, I want to like Sam's. But, if you've got burger in your name, you should have excellent burger's...and they don't. My burger ( I asked for medium) was a solid well-done, After trying to get the server's attention for several minutes, I gave up and choked... More

I've never gone here to see a show (so I can't review that part of this place), but the burgers are pretty darn good. Sam's is a hole-in-the-wall, completely unpretentious place to eat. So, if you're over at the Pearl Brewery and find yourself wondering if you're dressed up enough to eat at one of the restaurants over there --... More

I've lived in San Antonio for many years and never really thought of it as a town with cool music venues until this last week. A friend of mine asked if I wanted to join her to hear a good blues band. Heck yah! The place reminded me of the famous Antone's Blue's place in Austin that I use to... More

The burgers are amazing! Every single time I go to San Antonio I found the burgers from this place to be delicious. Do not order to go since they get soggy and sometimes they forget to add utensils. The place has outdoor seating, a music hall next door and you see mostly locals eating there. Must visit

Been to Sam's a few times but this is the last. The burger had no flavor and tasted old. The fries were soggy instead of extra crispy as I ordered. Certainly not worth my lunch money.
