Nice place to eat for lunch. Good variety of food including sandwiches, soups and salads. Different specials each day, and I have never had anything that wasn't easy. Reasonably priced. Worth giving a try.

Very nice evening with a two piece combo of piano and bass playing smooth jazz. The "almond snapper" was over a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and the "Ocean Trio" consisted of shrimp stuffed with crab and lobster. Both were excellent and highly recommended.

Great hidden restaurant in San Antonio... we went with a group from work - needed a break to celebrate a successful hard day working on our balanced scorecard and strategy. The atmosphere was good the food even better. Get the Lamb Tagine! it was excellent. well presented in a Tagine (a Berber covered oven dish) and even better tasting. Wine... More

Went for lunch with a few coworkers, and this place is excellent. Great food and atmosphere. It was somewhat busy as our waiter had a hard time keeping up, luckily he had backup and another waitress picked up the slack. Great teamwork. Overall great food ans experience will return.

Very nice, not chain, upscale restaurant. Mediterranean cuisine and a four piece jazz band.on Friday and Saturday nights. Two of us shared a spinach & artichoke appetizer dip which was still almost too much. An almond crusted snapper with shrimp with spicy flavoring was outstanding. The herb encrusted pork tenderloin with bordellaise sauce, asparagus and potatoes had an excellent flavor... More

Enjoyed dinner with our group at this bistro. We had fish which was well prepared. The music started right before we left, and it was very nice jazz fusion. Not too loud for the space.

We are from out of town and were visiting the Japanese Tea Garden. The hunger pangs hit and we had no idea where to go for lunch. I arbitrarily searched for an Italian restaurant in the area, and it led to a small plaza on Boardwalk. We never did find the Italian restaurant however, we found Boardwalk Bistro. There was... Got the name from Wine Spectator magazine. I'm a vegetarian but travelled with meat eaters. Menu looked good. We chose the tasting menu and they were very accommodating to me. App great as was the bread and soup but all four entrees fell short. Had a jazz band who were good but the drummer had one too many loud solos... More

My husband tracked down the Jim Cullen Jazz Quartet and found they were playing at the Boardwalk Bistro. We went for the jazz and were bowled over with the delicious food and wonderful service. Probably the second best dinner I can remember. The customers seemed to be regulars and obviously loved Jim Cullen. I bet we were the only people... More

I have to agree with stoss19. We went when Mr. Lara, a Jazz artist in SA and the music was great. The service not so good. The food we ordered was OK especially the Tapas. Would I go back to hear Mr. Lara but not especially for the food or the service. Procesco was very good, however.
