This place is nearly perfect. We have been eating here for years. The food is great and the service is typically good. The restaurant is usually loud so if you're looking for a quiet dinner, this may not be the place for you

Very good Mexican food here. But also fabulous chicken fried steak. Get the Queso to start and eat a few housemate tortillas while waiting for your food. All of the Mexican dishes are really good! I can also highly recommend the beef fajitas which are tenderized just right! Brisket tacos are good too, although the consistency is often off on... More

We had a group of 16 with 4 adults as chaperones. These boys were able to find foods they liked on the menu and leave full and satisfied that they got value for the money they spent. The staff was courteous and patient with all of our separate tickets, etc. we can always count on Alamo Cafe when we come... More

I'm not going to lie, I wanted to like this place more. I have been there several times and every time it leaves me thinking..."really?" I can't say anything really negative about it, just that there's nothing special or unique about the food. The service is good though and always friendly. Maybe it's time to redo the menu or get... Went here from reviews found online here and other places - and found the place just average. Parking lot seemed full which was a good sign, but got in and the place was half empty. Service was fast - too fast - as our food arrived before our drinks... Food was just OK... nothing really to write home about. Besides... More

We met a family member here for a visit/meal during a vacation. The food was not nearly as good as it has been during past trips but the staff was patient and kind. We had two children that were dancing around the table and we stayed a long time at our table. No one ever made us feel that we... More

Tortillas are perfection. Handmade, hot, heavenly. Delicious endless chips and salsa. Crispy, flavorful puffy tacos. Enchiladas, sensational. Quesadillas, delectable. Fajitas, exceptional. Beans...oh my frijoles...they're SO good. Like lick the bowl good. Guacamole is addictive. Affordable. Outstanding service. Ok, all that...and then there's the Margarita. ORDER THIS. I recommend the strawberry. Best on the planet. San Antonio has countless good restaurants... More

So much salt in everything we ordered. It was terrible. Surprised I didn't have a stroke before we left. About a week ago we went to the location on 281 and the food was delicious. Salt level was perfect. Hoping it was just a bad visit on I-10, but I'll never eat there again.
