Biggest Chicken Fried Steak I have EVER seen! Two people could definately share it. While my mac and cheese was not the best I've ever had, the okra was wonderful, and rolls were even better. I loved the old school diner theme (probably by accident rather than design). Between the excellent wait staff and great prices, it was worth the... More

I've been going to lulu's for years and really like the food. It does like the staff is a little unfriendly and prices continue to rise. The cinnamon roll is a family favorite but has skyrocketed since as seen on tv. It is still open 24 hours which is rare in SA. Lots of food. Come hungry!

Went to LLulu's based on the Man VS. Food episode with the 3lb cinnamon roll. Ordered that and chicken fried steak. The cinnamon roll was yummy and chicken fried steak was one of the best we've ever had. Brought just over half of the cinnamon roll home to Houston. Woke up the next morning and my fifty pound dog had... More

Ate here when I was young at the old location. Years passed and I drove up here to find it was gone. Moved locations. This place looks like a dirty nasty rundown hole in the wall. Forget all that. This place gets packed. Why? Becaus they have the best damn chicken fried steak in the world. Check that, the universe!... More

I was in San Antone last week and some friends took me to LuLu's. All I can say is WOW! I ordered the small chicken fried steak and they ordered a large. They cut it in half and put half in a to go box. Then they split the remaining half and that was dinner. As for mine, I was... More

The place seems to trade on it's huge portions. The people next to us were sharing one chicken fried steak between three people. We came for the 3lb cinnamon bun. It was huge...and dry, and tasteless. Sorry, we were looking for an experience and it was a bad one. There were four in our party and the unamious decision was... More

When we were down for my nephew’s basic graduation from the Air Force, we had to try this place. We went late on a Friday evening. The neighborhood this place is located looked a little sketchy, but once you bite into that chicken fried steak you will forget about that. The portions were huge and the price was low. All... More

Lulu's is known for the 3lb cinnamon roll that comes to your table piping hot, fresh out of the oven. If you're up for it, order it as soon as you sit down. It is super delicious; the pastry light, moist and flaky and lasts for days and days... The regular breakfast food is great; good value and taste. You... More

We went to Lulu's on Shaq's recommendation regarding the chicken fried steak. It is delicious and the mashed potatoes were homemade. Rolls also homemade and baked fresh daily. Place is very very low key and ultra casual. Older diner aptmopshere. The biggest find at Lulu's was the most tasty 3 pound, yes! 3 pound cinnamon roll. Was warm out of... More

We were in town for 4 days and we ate there twice. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. AWESOME food. And the staff is great. A must if you are in San Antonio.
