Great steaks

Many steaks to choose from but I opted for the 16 oz prime ribeye on the menu at $46. The bone-in 24 oz ribeye was tempting but not worth $79 IMO. Started with the crab cake and had sides of creamed spinach, excellent, and rice cakes, so so. Didn't have room for dessert.

Atmosphere was very nice. Service was OK at best. Wife and I ordered petit filet with a side of mushrooms. When the steak arrived it seemed like it sat under a warming lap for too long. It wasn't cold but darn near it. We've visited Ruth Chris many times before eating here and and RC is better in every way.... More

Spent 3 nights in San Antonio and decided to book a table at Bohanans after reading all the great reviews. We arrived early so that we could have pre dinner drinks in the bar downstairs, great place, it was a Tuesday night so they had a pianist playing soothing jazz tunes in the background creating a lovely atmosphere. Now time... More

Went here while in SA for business. Start to finish it was about a 2.5 hour seating. The cuts of meat were all top quality and everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. Make reservations! They are booked up 7 days a week. Will come back when back in SA.

We dined here Saturday evening of Easter weekend. As others have stated, this is on the high end dollar wise. That being said, this restaurant is also on the high end of quality of food and service. I ordered the small filet and my husband the large ribeye. Plus salads, one side, drinks, and wine. Our server (Jenny?) and assistant... More

This place gave us slightly slow service but the steaks were amazing and worth the wait. It was amazing how crowded it was on a Wednesday night. Reservations are suggested.

Coming from NYC area where we boast some awfully good steakhouses, I was a bit skeptical when I heard the raves about Bohanan's. Well, let me tell you, Bohanan's is THE BEST Steakhouse I've ever been to - period, full stop. The atmosphere is superb - old-world elegant and yet very welcoming. The massive bar, the musical instruments in the... More

Beginning with the wedge salad and ending with the brownie... all was awesome. In between we had a filet, shared a caprese salad and the truffel fries. The topper was the veal tenderloin. I was surprised to be served an entire veal tenderloin. Absolutely fabulous taste, done medium rare to perfection and way more than one person should eat. Service... More

This is a must if you are in San Antonio. Their filet beats Morton's, Smith and W, and any other steakhouse I've eaten at. Get the escargot to start (they bake it with brie and it will be the best you've had). We had that to start and split the 11oz filet. It was amazing! Top 5 meals we've had... More

I have gone to other Bohanan's and this one does not disappoint. Every thing was great. The only thing I have an issue with (and I have this with most steakhouses) is why do I have to bring a flashlight to eat. I get the whole ambiance thing, but can we turn up the lights a little as well as... More
