Had a rueben sandwich and a bowl of split pea soup. Plentiful meat, hot soup, wonderfully tasty. Reasonably priced. What more can you ask.

We had a delicious reuben with split pea soup and a cold mug of homemade rootbeer. The food and service were both great.

The pancakes were quite possibly the best I've ever eaten. Great breakfast standards, generous portions, and friendly service - no complaints and would definitely return.

What a great find. We went twice. Breakfast and Lunch. Breakfast was terrific and a good value. Lunch was amazing. Had the sausage sampler and some good German beer. I was in heaven. Really a great place. Closed Sunday or we would have went a Third time.

The potato pancakes were wonderful even if not quite as good as mine! 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties, 3 potato pancakes with homemade applesauce! Very affordable price and I was stuffed.

We had breakfast here three mornings in a row, that's how much we liked the food, service and atmosphere! It's a short walk from the river.

I'd been to this place 5 years ago when there on business, so when I was once again back to San Antonio, I had to go back. Wood booths line the two outside walls, with a lunch counter on the back wall and a deli counter on the fourth wall with the center filled with substantial wood tables and chairs... More

This was something that was recommended by the hotel staff. Were they ever correct. The food was good, service was excellent and very reasonable. Recommend anyone in the San Antonio downtown area to take advantage of this restaurant.

We happened upon this place for breakfast and discovered the thickest fluffiest best biscuits ever! We took an order to go for our son. He thought they were so great we came back for a german lunch experience! Spaten Optimator, Split Pea Soup & Sausages! Fantastic!
