Great food and drinks and the staff was very attentive and trained. Martini's are made with love and taste so great, yum.

Four of us went for a fine meal and we were not disappointed. It is considered by many to be the finest restaurant in San Antonio. I started with escargot. They were cooked perfectly in the butter. herbs, and garlic. The bibb salad was fresh and the homemade dressing superb. I had a tenderloin while the other three chose seafood.... More

My husband and I always try top rated Zagat restaurants when we travel. This had a very high rating, but the food was average. The only seasoning they believe in here is salt! It is located in a strip shopping center with no view or ambiance. The service was very good, but there were only three tables occupied including us.... More

Took my mother-in-law as she lives very near. We had heard great things about it and decided to go to lunch there. I chose two things and asked for waiters recommendation between the two. We both had the lobster tail with crab risotto . Also had salad and potato and truffle soup. Both were delicious . The entree was served... More

This restaurant is the real deal! The majority of patrons are locals...a real positive statement. Some of the finest French food in the state...if not the nation. Two couples....to start....two different salads, the country pate and escargot....all were super. And then four different entrees...pheasant breast, a filet, coq au vin and duck confit.....recipes must have come straight from Paris. A... More

We went at lunch on Valentine's Day and had reservations. We sat on the new side and there was only one empty table but we didn't mind at all! The wait staff was attentive and on stand-by to meet our ever need. All the food was fresh and incredibly delicious. We ordered escargot, tomato-basil tartine, duck breast, swordfish and langoustine... More

We were a party of 5 having dinner on Jan 31, 2014. I had the Poisson Muniere; it turned out to be flounder, which was OK, but it was too salty, not OK. Two others in our party had the Escalope de Veau, Veal: neither liked it. The only items we had that were great were the desserts. All in... More

Worst Dining Experience EVER!!!! We “dined” in isolation in the “new” side. We were abandoned, orphaned and outcast.... Not only were we ignored. The wait staff did the TOTAL OPPOSITE of our request. We were seated in the “new” section, with only a couple of other tables seated. There was the feeling of a being in a storage unit. I... More

I first reviewed Bistro several years ago. It remains the best place in San Antonio for bistro food. It just has that right aroma when you walk into the door. Prix fix or ala carte. Only place in town where you can get dover sole every day. And calf liver.

This is a great place for a date night. The waitstaff are gracious, warm, and attentive while not hurrying you through your meal. The prix fixe meal is a very good option with several choices from which to choose. This is an excellent place to have a quiet relaxing meal.
