We just had a lovely meal in a restaurant that struck exactly the right balance between upscale and casual. The atmosphere was fine dining without making me feel I should have worn a dress. The food was excellent. Andy provided impeccable service; prompt and attentive without 'hovering'. What I wish every restaurant would be.

Stopped in just before 5pm on Sunday and the place was almost empty, which worried me at first, but that was quickly changed. This is not your typical Tex-Mex place, it's a bit more on the authenic side, but not in a way that a Texan would not enjoy it. In fact, anyone would enjoy it very much. The first... More

We has a 7:30 pm reservation for the patio and had to wait a little while for our table which normally is understood but the entire patio was practically vacant. After we were seated it was a great experience! The waiter was really wonderful and so helpful. He helped one of my sons making a selection and answered all of... More

The wait staff was very attentive showing great hospitality. The complementary chips were thicker than what I am used to and the salsa was tasty. I ordered tex mex enchilada. They were o.k.....nothing to stand up and cheer about. The price was good. The atmosphere was very nice. I guess the only down side was my entree was only fair.

Yes, you can get Tex-Mex here if you wish, but there's so much more: both traditional dishes from all over Mexico and original dishes and variations created on site. Salad choices are out of the ordinary. Last night's catch of the day (Mahi-Mahi, or as it's known in Texas, Dorado) was offered in two versions, - A la Veracruzana or... More

The food is always great; fresh, flavorful and nice presentation. The biggest plus is the setting. The patio area is beautiful and even in the heat allures you to sitting outside. Sitting inside the house is great too, warm and friendly. Service is consistently attentive. We try different entrees every time so no advice there. Nothing special with the flan..so... More

My husband and I started going to this restaurant last year after dropping our kids off at camp. It is fabulous! The waitstaff is attentive without being annoying...and the food! Fantastic. I've had the beef fajita salad a few times and loved it. On our most recent visit, the were kind enough to be me half an order of the... More

I always have to stop in when I am in town. The atmosphere, service, food and drinks are always wonderful! It is a class act and part of old San Antonio! A must see and eat. Cheers!

Based on recommendation of our host at our Airbnb stay, it was everything she said. Lovely outdoor atmosphere under Live Oaks and tropical planting with twinkling lights overhead. Service was great. Food nicely presented. Rain curtailed our stay outdoors, but everyone was moved indoors including a large family party, without a hitch. My "Catch of the Day" was perfectly cooked... More

My wife and I ate here on a weeknight. They asked if we had a reservation, which we did not, but we were seated immediately. We seemed to be a bit under dressed with shorts. Most people eating there were dressed up more than we were. Service was very good. Our waiter kept everything filled and in good order before... More
