Almost As Good As Iowa Plus a Better View

I violated my rule about not ordering steaks outside of Iowa or the Dakotas. I'm usually either disappointed in the quality or feel vastly overcharged. Little Rhein, however, didn't disappoint. Yes, the prices are not discount scale but the steak was worth it. Plus, in Iowa you can't often... read more

My wife is picky with steak and ordered the rib eye and was very satisfied with quality and test. It was more than she could eat. I chose the filet, excellent as well. Service was superb as our group was totaling 24. Great place to dine.

Enjoyed our quick dinner at the Little Rhein. Famous for their Rib Eye steaks, there were sadly out by the time we arrived (late on a busy night). We had the filet instead and it was awesome. The sides were large and tasty and the wine list offered a great selection and a generous pour by the glass. Staff is... More

My wife and I try to visit San Antonio once a year, normally on our wedding anniversary, but this year I happened to be working on a project there so she came down for a weekend stay. Since we did not get to make our January trip to San Antonio we went to the restaurant during this visit. We absolutely... More

A business event with coworkers and clients. The Steakhouse was quite accommodating by setting everything up out on their multi-level outside area, including arranging for a large tent as rain was a possibility. Grilled kabobs, finger foods, a small bar just for our group and plenty of staff circulating around to make sure everyone was taken care of. The location... More

I've been wanting to go to this historic, charming restaurant for years. It was a big disappointment! Service was poor-hardly checked back, food PRICEY, cafeteria style tables and chairs on patio not a fit for the charm of the place. Not worth it~ you can find a better place on the Riverwalk with the many choices. One positive ~the New... More

If you are looking for a great meal away from the usual crowds on the river walk this is the place to go. Their outside terrace is large and provides a great view of the river. The food here is excellent. I had the steak and my wife had the quail legs. Both were done perfectly. We also really enjoyed... More

We attended a private party at the Little Rhein in the little room around the back. The waitstaff was very attentive. Husband raved about the quail legs appy, and I loved the crab claws but the absolute shining star of the evening was the ribeye steak. It came cooked to a wonderful medium rare (and I did think it was... More

Little Rhein has been a consistent favorite whenever I am in San Antonio. Always have had quality steak prepared perfectly. Good wine selection as well.

We were members of a very large party (close to 30 people), and the service, food, and atmosphere was top notch. Quite honestly, it's the best steak I've ever had.
