This was the first fine dining restaurant my wife and I went to on our first trip to the Riverwalk 17 years ago. We never forgot the wonderful meal we had there. When we went back to the Riverwalk last Christmastime we also went back to The Fig Tree. Just like before, it was a wonderful experience. It is an... More

Each year we search for a special restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. An evening at The Fig Tree was exactly dining experience we wanted. A fabulous meal in a romantic atmosphere! And, Mike, our waiter was attentive, super courteous and helpful. He knew exactly how to make the evening even more outstanding. We were so impressed, we’re already planning to... More

While vacationing in San Antonio and celebrating a recent birthday my husband had picked out this beautiful restaurant for dinner. And it is stunning. Dinner on the tiered patio among the fairy lights with a stunning view of the river is exquisite. Since it was a lovely evening all the diners were eating outdoors and the restaurant was very busy... The Fig Tree Restaurant was an amazing experience. It was quite expensive, but well worth the extra $$$. Our server was excellent and I wish I could remember his name. We never felt rushed and spent almost three hours on the outdoor patio. We started with the wedge salad and quail appetizer. Both were very good. For dinner, my husband... More

We booked dinner here based on positive reviews and were richly rewarded. We asked for an outside table and enjoyed the lovely setting on the River Walk. But the food was the real standout. The Texas Hill Country Quail with truffle pate was the best I have ever eaten - plump with plenty of meat on the bones and a... More

We invited Korean customers for diner and were quite surprised that the lady in charge was French and the cook from Alsace Food was very tasty even if adapted to the American taste ... The Texan quail is the hit for the starter, the veal disserving much more sauce and side dish on the plate. Overall very good.

We brought some clients here for dinner and was not disappointed. We reserved a private room upstairs for 10 persons. The meal was excellent. The service was impeccable. Well worth the price. The duck was fantastic!

The food was quite tasty, the service very pleasant, and the wine list well rounded. Be sure to make a reservation as this is a popular River Walk view.

We had a group of 8 for dinner. We were in town for a convention, and all of our group are in the hospitality field. It was simply a great experience. The menu was not overly large, but each item was well prepared from high quality ingredients. We had a little of everything; escargot, beet salad, seared scallops, beef wellington,... More
