Bottomless mimosas with a river walk view

My husband says three stars but I'm leaning more towards four. If comparing this to sterling brunch at bally's in Las Vegas it doesn't compare. However for half the price it was good without the wow. First off I followed the advice of other yelpers and made reservations. So glad we did and... read more

A friend who lives in San Antonio advised that the restaurants along the Riverwalk, while largely not chains, were touristy. Las Canarias is definitely the exception, as it is clearly chef-driven. The dining room is very formal looking with white table cloths, but the outdoor area along the river is comfortably casual and very relaxing. Kudos to the staff and... More

We had a group of 5 business associates on a Monday evening. I would have thought they would have been busier, but it was very nice having a quiet, upscale dinner. They offer a standard as well as prix fixe menu. Two of our customers ordered the Prix Fixe which included an appetizer, main course and dessert. Very reasonably priced... More

Dinner was just okay, but the breakfast is wonderful, the best bacon around!! Everything is fresh and the service was very good.

Service was excellent. Make sure you go during a time of year where the weather is great to enjoy the river outside on the terrace. I enjoyed the eclectic menu especially fried quail and waffles. The Paella was a great portion and very tasty, although a tad dry. Still overall a very pleasant experience and we would definitely return.

This is one of the more gourmet options along the Riverwalk area, and while you can expect it to be spendy, they do have a chef who knows what he's doing :) you can sit outdoors for a view of the river, or inside for more of a candle lit romance environment. Nice selection on the menu, wide array of... More

sat inside the restaurant, as the patio tables overlooking the Riverwalk were all full, and it turned out to be quite nice inside. White tablecloths, excellent service, beautiful breakfast buffet. excellent coffee is included, as is oj, and we frequently were offered more coffee & juice. The buffet included pancakes, bacon, pre-scrambled eggs, a nice omelet station with very fresh... More

This another wonderful experience. I absolutely loved the food! Shappour made a wonderful omelet and Ulysses and Fabian were very attentive and made sure our Champagne glasses remained full.

We ate outside overlooking the river walk. Wonderful atmosphere. Service was excellent. We never needed to look for someone to assist us. Food was also tasty, starting with the wonderful bread selection. My entrée was so good (gnocchi with summer squash) I want to replicate it at home. I definitely recommend this place.

Las Carnarias is located inside the Omni Las Mansion del Rio hotel on the riverwalk. The breakfast buffet had an excellent selection of American and Mexican breakfast items. You could also order fried eggs and omletts in addition to the fresh fruits, pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs and breakfast meats and breads/muffins/pastries. Great selection but come hungry since it's $19.95 per... More
