Quiet, thoughtful service, good food.

I had just two starters: luscious butternut squash soup and southwest Caesar salad. Both perfect, with a glass of excellent Cotes de Rhone,,and the service was friendly and expert.

We ate here on our last night in San Antonio (3 nights) We had stayed here on our first night but ate elsewhere and decided to come back as we had seen the menu while staying at the Omni. Well that was a great decision. The food was just perfect; Roasted Butternut squash soup was to die for! The best... More

The express lunch served at this restaurant did have fairly small portions, but the food was quite good. I went with the redfish sandwich / chicken soup combo, followed by the sticky toffee pudding. The dessert in particular is worth recommending. While the food was nice, I would recommend the restauant alone based on the terrific seating perched above the... More

Nice intimate place- great service and really excellent seafood. Two of us enjoyed the meal a lot - the sorbet was quite special.

We hadn't booked and found many restaurants with a 2 hour wait so tired Las Canarias. Glad we did. A very classic decor and attentive ( perhaps a little to gushing for our tastes) waiting team. We had a table at the window so were able to watch the world go by along the river while dining. We chose the... More

San Antonio is not a big brunch town but you will find a fab Sunday brunch here. Pricey but one of our favorite places to take people who expect San Antonio dining to be more along the lines of Rudy's BBQ. A lovely upscale buffet with wonderful choices among cold, hot, pastry and dessert tables. Oh, love the endless champagne/mimosas.... More

We ate Sunday breakfast buffet (not to be confused with Sunday brunch). A good assortment. The wait staff were very courteous and prompt. The setting was very elegant.

Just dined at Las Canarias. This was truly one of the best dining experiences we have had. The staff is attentive and friendly and the food is wonderful. I highly recommend the shrimp and grits. Very flavorful without being overly spicy.

My wife and i definitely did not get cheated with what was offered with their Sunday Brunch. Prime rib, smoked turkey breast, scrambled eggs, egg benedict, sausage, bacon, shrimp, breads, french toast, salami, a variety of fruits and desserts. The food never stopped. Our waitress, Anita, was on point with keeping the mimosas bottomless. We ate outdoors in comfortable weather... More
