Las Canarias located in the historic La Mansion Del Rio Hotel (now and Omni property) is the epitome of elegant dining. You will throughly enjoy the ambiance, food and service.

Yes, there are tons of restaurants along the Riverwalk, but they are all very average and catered to the tourists. After a few unmemorable meals, we read a few good reviews about this place so we were determined to get in. We could not get in the first time we tried but we got lucky the next day. The dinner... After reading the many great reviews, my wife and I decided to try them out. We sat inside and the setting was very intimate. We both had the butternut squash soup for our appetizer and I will say that was very flavorful and delicious. We both ordered the house white wine and thought it was pretty good. To my surprise... Had lunch here after checking into the Omni hotel and had both the tacos that were just the right appetizer as well as shared a salmon smoked rueben sandwich that was awesome and the fries were perfect. According to the customers around us it seems like the breakfast was huge and did not see anyone even begin to finish as... More

We reserved a table for Sunday brunch recently at Las Canarias recently and were very pleased with the experience. Usually buffets are not something we go for at all but this was exceptional. Champagne, mimosas, Bloody Mary's and excellent coffee served to drink with a frequently replenished and varied hot buffet of items such as Eggs Benedict, Migas, breakfast meats... More

Food and service are a cut above all the others. Menu is a bit small but enough to cover most palates.

I have eaten in this restaurant for years for brunch, but have never had a chance to eat here for dinner. Everything about a dinner we had this week was just perfect. The food was delicious and service was impeccable. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough for a fine dinning event on the river in San Antonio.

We dined at Las Canarias for Thanksgiving brunch. We apparently got the last reservation available, even though we called two weeks ahead. Even with the reservation, there was a wait for our table, but it was worth it. Our server was attentive but not hovering, the dining room was gorgeous, and the food incomparable. There were stations set up all... More

A beautiful restaurant next to the river with very good food and service. Even if you are a breakfast person like myself you know that for the most part you can not expect a lot from a breakfast buffet at least quality wise, but the quality at this restaurant was great, they even had goat cheese at the omelette bar... I've been here for several holiday and Sunday buffets, but went here for Thanksgiving on this trip. Suggest you make reservations regardless of when you go. Thanksgiving was very busy but my requested window view reservation was ready at the appointed time. The buffet is my favorite here and I starve myself in order to indulge in as many offerings...
